MMD National Secretary Muhabi Lungu has dismissed as mere politicking claims by former party Spokesperson Dora Siliya that the former ruling party is dead.
Mr. Lungu says it is unreasonable for anyone to suggest that the MMD is on the death bed when the party has seats in Parliament and has been participating in by-elections.
Mr. Lungu has told Qfm News that it is such insinuations that he has now become tired of responding to as party Chief Executive Officer because they are baseless claims.
He adds that in view of the position Ms. Siliya has taken against the party, the MMD leadership will leave it up to the people of Petauke Central to decide who should be their candidate in the pending by-election in constituency.
Mr Lungu has also disclosed that the MMD has information that Ms. Siliya is allegedly among some people who want to form a breakaway political party.
He however says the MMD is not bothered by such a rumor.
Both Dora and Muhabi are correct. MMD is dying and Dora is politicking. Evan Rupiah Banda cannot resuscitate this party which is on its way out of existence. Chiluba was a thief, Mwanawasa was a better president but he was not perfect, Banda was not democratic and took people for granted.

Dora actually killed the former ruling party when she was flaunting her ‘assets’ in Eastern Province during 2011 campaign. How silly of her to now talk badly about what she achestrated. Bad girl.
The truth of the matter is that MMD under pastor is going nowhere ,people in zambia are tired of those who have ruled them, including this PF are going nowhere ,they have done there part MMD brought democracy but they were slugish in attending to the needs of zambians, even the agriculture they are singing about, people where being paid late
This PF is is worse they have followed the foot path of MMD,it will totally unfair to say that they did NOTHING JUST like this PF they have done certain projects well but the governance record is terribly poor, Agriculture is in total messy, the standard of living has gone up

Dora is right people.Mr Muhabi Lungu if you drop Dora forget about all the seats in Eastern province.Petauke Central is the safest seat for MMD in Eastern Province with Dora.Ask any Petauke resident they tell you the same.The lady did a lot for her constituency when she was Minister of Education.Dora is the equivalent of Masebo and Kapata of PF. Drop her you Mr Lungu and your President can as well pack your bags and go to hell.
