Lubambo salutes CAF U20 Cup qualification

Under-20 captain Lubambo Musonda has hailed Zambia’s qualification to the 2015 CAF Under-20 Championships to be held in Senegal.

Lubambo was in action for his Armenian club Ulisses as the under-20 beat Malawi 1-0 in Lusaka on Saturday to qualify for the youth tournament to be held from March 8-22.

He said the Hector Chilombo coached side did well to qualify for the CAF Youth Championship for the first time since 2007.

Lubambo observed that it has been difficult for Zambia to qualify for Junior CAF Championships.

“It’s good I am so happy for what the guys did as you know it has always been tough for the junior teams to qualify to the Africa Cup and World Cup,” he said from Armenia on Tuesday.

  1. That boy Lubambo is intelligent and humble. He should demand to get into college where he now. His English is so smooth, not common in Zambian league.
