FAZ has banned Kabwe Warriors from playing at their home ground Godfrey Chitalu Stadium for the rest of the 2014 season and fined the club K10, 000 over crowd trouble.
The decision was made by the FAZ disciplinary committee which ruled that the stadium be closed due to the club’s failure to control fans who caused abandonment of some matches played there this season.
The latest match to be abandoned at Godfrey Chitalu was a Week 22 fixture against Nkana for which Warriors have been fined K5000 and 150 penalty points.
Nkana have been awarded 3 points via a 2 – 0 score-line.
Warrior’s fans also caused the abandonment at Sunset Stadium of a week 23 fixture against Zanaco for which the club has been fined K10, 000 and 150 penalty points.
Zanaco have been awarded 3 points via a 2 – 0 score-line.
The FAZ Disciplinary Committee also fined Nkana K5000 for failure to control their fans at Sunset Stadium in a Week 20 fixture where Nkana fans broke the perimeter wire fence around the pitch.
Zanaco have been fined for failure to provide adequate security during the said match.
TABLE AFTER FAZ DC Verdict

Its sad that FAZ has arrived at this expected ruling, certainly crowd trouble has no place in Zambian football. But however, FAZ should also look at the match officials appointed to officiate Premier league games, performance of Zambian referees is pathetic to say the least. In both matches Kabwe Warriors has been very unfairly treated by referees. These guys are killing our game, we shall stop going to watch football at our dilapidated stadiums and concentrate on the English and European Leagues. There is need to reform the Football Association of Zambia, a complete overhaul is essential.
this is bu shiit.faz is corrupt.
The FAZ displinary committee is spot on!, Good decision. Don’t take the law into your own hands. Just because a referee has made a wrong decision doesn’t mean you have to throw stones. Even in the English premier league referees sometimes make wrong decisions but proper channels are used to review the decisions. Please grow up ba Warriors.
Why fans cause problems in this world of football go pa ‘CHILATA’ you wil NEVER find such happen that is a thing of PAST. KALAMPA have lost many games at home & away this SEASON but you never head FAZ make any coment on NKANA fans, unless maybe issure for KAMBWILI (Minister) when were in CAF CONF.CUP.
My message when you are watching as a fan expect a “WIN or LO**”. DON’T UKUMA ‘REF’ BA POWER, GROW UP!
