Blades savour Nkana Barclays Cup semifinal showdown

Konkola Blades coach Enos Silwimba is relishing the Barclays Cup semifinal clash against Nkana set for Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on October 18.

Konkola and Nkana clash in the 15h00 kick off second semifinal.

Silwimba described the outcome of the draws conducted at Football House on Wednesday morning as interesting.

“It is a very interesting one.We is playing against Nkana so we have to work hard,” Silwimba said.

He said Konkola’s recent win over Nkana in the Super League will not be a factor as the two teams meet in the Barclays Cup.

“I know we beat them in the league but that game is gone. We have towork extra hard so that we can beat Nkana,” Silwimba added.

Nkana captain Sydney Kalume said the Wusakile side won’t underrate Konkola.

“We have to take that game seriously. We have to work hard,” he said.

Kalume added:”It is another new game so we have to fight hard. Our target is to reach the final.”

  1. In league we won @ home & lost away to KONKOLA.
    “I believe those 2 games are gone, we are now on CUP game since in league we are very far to defend our 12’th ‘TITLE’ but we can stil make it to CAF CONF. CUP”.

  2. Nkana is playing well but they seem to have abit challenge upfront Simon started well but he hasn’t been scoring of late if Nkana will have a scoring formula on thtat day i see them wining
