Shepolopolo make disastrous start in Windhoek

Shepolopolo made a disastrous start in their African Women’s Championship debut on Saturday.

Charles Bwale’s side lost 2-0 to hosts Namibia in the two sides opening Group A match in Windhoek.

Rita Williams and Thomalina Adams were on target in the 4th and 21st minutes respectively to hand Namibia the three points.

Zambia are bottom of in Group A on zero points while Namibia are second on three points.

Shepolopolo now face Group A leaders and record eight-time champions Nigeria in both sides penultimate Group F match on Tuesday.

Nigeria rocketed to the top of Group A after they beat third placed Cote d’Ivoire 4-2 in the second kickoff in Windhoek.
