Ruling Patriotic Front (PF) president Edgar Lungu will this Saturday the 13th of December hold a rally in Mongu Western Province a week after his two inaugural rallies held in Kasama and Mansa.

In Mongu, Mr. Lungu, who is the PF candidate for the 2015 presidential election as well as the Defense and Justice Minister, is expected to make a number of pronouncements regarding what his party is currently doing for Western Province and its future plans for the Province.

In a statement released to media News PF Secretary General Davis Chama noted that Mr. Lungu still maintains a good relationship with both the people of the Western Province and the Litunga Imwiko Lubosi the second who recently honored him with the presentation of a royal walking stick to guide him in his leadership path.

Mr. Chama stated that after the Mongu tour, Mr. Lungu will on Sunday the 14th of December hold another rally that has been slated for Mandevu grounds in Lusaka.

He said that this rally will mark the beginning of the several rallies the PF President is expected to hold in the capital City as he steps up his national campaign.

The PF Secretary General has reiterated that Mr. Lungu means well and he is qualified for the country’s highest office job as he has demonstrated in the past.

He said that all the mud that is being desperately thrown at him will only build him as it is also clear that the Zambian people are too intelligent to be hood-winked by what he has termed as bitter propaganda from sectional interests.

The PF Chief Executive Officer has also commended Local Government Minister Emmanuel Chenda for joining several other top party members that have cast aside personal ambitions to back Mr. Lungu in the race for the party and republican Presidency.

He said that Mr. Chenda has showed political maturity by joining others such as Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda, Youth and Sport Minister Chishimba Kambwili, Agriculture Minister Wilbur Simuusa and Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata.

Mr. Chama has since urged all other party members that are still standing on the face to be brave and join Mr. Lungu’s team which he says is the winning team.

    • He has to be careful to speak in Mongu, they are not happy about arresting their Nyangandambo. If he keeps to his 6 minutes speeches will be better for him. Edgar a man with no vision, only continuity of PF lying on Balotse agreement.

    • EL a man once disqualified by LAZ, and a man who has confessed that he cant speak in church and also failed to reticulate issues when featured at radio phoenix is the man of the moment.. A man without his own vision.. A man without charisma.. A man who is being manipulated by a B’clique.. A man without really known background both professionally or otherwise oh sorry but known as an imbiber…Oh gosh, supported by and or liked by cadres paid to be on the net to dislike anything to the contrary…shame and shamuna

    • Mr No Vision will be in Mongu for a 6mins speech. In an ideal and fair world HH would walk the coming poll because he’s streets better than this clown, i hope my fellow Bembas will forget all the tribal nonsense and vote purely on merit.

    • @Msana Wanzili

Not to worry, uluBemba right now wants a complete change of scene, meaning ifisushi (PF) is out, HH is in.

    • This EL guy does not go to church. So besides drunkness he is also a heathen. He can’t pray or talk in church bcs it is against his Islamic faith. A Christian nation will soon have an Islamic president

  1. Just looks at this fact (2011)and by the way we are using the same voters register. Unless HH is standing on MMD ticket, I don’t understand why his people think he can win. He needs a miracle baba

    • You know, people dislike statistics. I feel the PF will win this election but that is tentative. Look, the election is in rainy season and there is not much excitement about the election. Turn outs may be low, that factor can propel HH to the presidency on the virtue that his supporters will turn up.

    • Good observation but you can rely on that mate this is up to people voting. Things turn around it is like a game.
Don’t forget that Sata was beaten in votes by HH shortly after death of Mazoka .
      1. MMD
      2. UPND
      3,Sata
So 20th January 2015,holds the secret for now anything can be said

    • how come MMD lost with the same register. People switch sides my dear and this is what will make HH win simple as that. You do not need rocket science to come to that conclusion. Again people switch sides and am one of the people that voted for PF now and for UPND.

    • You are forgetting one thing with these stats; people were not voting for PF parse but for Sata in particular. This time around his pulling power is not there that’s why EL keeps using his name hoping that it will help him

    • This clearly shows who the tribalists are; compare UPND results in northern province and PF results in southern province

    • @Pabwato Reloaded

Thats typical Kaunda(UNIP) mentality. Resistant to change. Whether you like it or not, change has already come and MMD will come distance third just like in all the by elections.

    • You are just a fool, only a fool can live in past glory. You will be supprised. PF WAS SATA, Without SATA no PF. Lungu has no agenda/Vision for Zambia, Only Tribalist will be in a sinking Taitanic. Take it or Live it.

    • @Hu, do not be deluded, HH has never beaten Sata in any election, in 2006, Sata’s PF gained a wooping 43 MPs from 1 MP in 2001. UPND lost over 20 MPs, maintaining only those in Southern and Western Provinces.
Election numbers do not turn dramatically, this is not 1991.

    • These are old statistics – they reflect the mood of the people at that particular time (2011). They are no way a measure of what is going to happen on 20.01.2015. The mood of the voter now up to that date will determine who becomes President on the day. If statistics were static as you suggest, PF wouldn’t have won the 2011 elections.

    • KAMANI!! You UPND Cadres are deluded, People that voted RB in 2008 are the same people who voted for Levy in 2006. In 2011, there was new voter registration and that was when a whole load of NEW voters came into the register and voted in PF. 2011 voters are not the same as 2008 voters. In 2015 there will be no NEW voter registration, so we are talking about the same 2011 voters where HH only got 2 500 out of 660 000 voters from Northern Province. And you put hope in rain KAMANI, if rain affects PF voters , it will also affect HH voters , stop building pies in the sky , your man is headed for another crushing defeat. And by the way it is easy for MMD voters to move to PF than UPND. PF and MMD are ideologiclally similar in the minds of Zambians. Sorry, UPND is a southern province party

    • @pabwato reloaded I do not agree. People vote to remove someone or vote someone into power. We voted to remove RB from power on account of corruption. The old man almost sold our government schools. We also voted on basis of promises PF made – more money in our pockets, lower cost of mealie meal, fuel, no more load shedding, some business to be for Zambians only! I voted for PF on basis of these promises. Have the promises been fulfilled? the answer is a big NO! so will I vote PF again? the answer is NO.

    • Those were old statistics we cipuba. If thats what is followed both Sata and Chiluba could have not won the elections! You are the same chaps who are unsuccessful in life becoz you think once a failure always a failure. Wake up and smell the coffee!

    • Good analysis with stats. But the key provinces will be Eastern, Luapula, Lusaka and Copper belt. It is going to be a triangular contest and my humble feeling is that if RB does stand and gets a month to campaign he and Lungu will be neck to neck. HH will be distant THIRD. Zambians are tribalists to the core. And sizeable majority change their mind at the last minute.

    • Do not use tribal sentiments against the bemba. Lungu is not bemba and so was not sata. If you really want HH to win do not talk ill about the bemba. True bemba people are not tribal and but principled. They will cast a vote for HH on the understanding that he is the best candidate at the moment.

    • UPND just need to focus on getting more votes in Central Lusaka and Copperbelt , then increase their tally In west and NW.
1)SATA was convincing speaker EL is not.
      2) SAta promised Barotse agreement to get that number , now the Lozi know that’s a lie.
3)every ruling party losses votes bcs not all promises are fulfill so disappointed people vote for others
      4) UPND has learnt some promising and don’t kubeba tricks
5)PF is not as United under EL as it was under Sata.

      6)
Some die hard Bemba will not vote EL only family forest will try to keep jobs . Street Bemba may go for others. This election will be like 2001 with the winner getting around 35% only and the others getting 30 30 .

    • @ibwato reloaded kwena mulchikopo please try and add up your figures and look at the total number of voters per province an see if your figures make sense.2015 will not experience such apath.HH is winning my dear period.

    • this was 2011, alot has happened. i voted for PF but now going to UPND. MMD is no longer a factor in politics and as long as RB is a presidential candidate for MMD, he stands to cut a big chunk from EL than HH. if PF will win, they will win by less than 150,000 votes and if HH wins, he will win by less than 50,000 votes. so if i was HH, i would go into CB and Lusaka province to try to get the 150,000 votes more than what i have projected. i personally want to vote in HH so that come 2016, both PF and UPND will have tasted power and we will be analyzing their governments based on their performance whilst in government.

    • Thanks for sharing the results. I have a different view. If you take the 2011 results and compare with today, there are so many things that have changed:
      1. PF popularity in 2011 was motivated by the strong desire of people to vote MMD out. This time around, people are keen to vote PF out. You don’t need to be a political scientist to see it among the farmers, ordinary persons, civil servants, traditional leaders who have suffered insults at the hands of PF; religious bodies, un-employed youths, students who have been brutalised by the PF police, people of Barotseland who gave Sata a protest vote after the killings in Mongu. All these become HH’s admirersMMD’s unpopularity has not died off. In fact some of the sins PF are being punished for are MMD made. This works in favour of HH…

  2. “…is expected to make a number of pronouncements regarding what his party is currently doing for Western Province and its future plans for the Province…”

Eureka! He has future plans… whodda thunk?

    • They have promised before but it’s now a common joke in Zambia that if u have a Lozi name you can’t get a job in government unless it’s a cleaning jobs. It’s not just roads and stadiums. Everyone who is non Bemba feels excluded in this PF . Government . Meanwhile Edgar says he will not change anything . He is trying to keep the Bemba vote which was already there, but other people believed Sata and are now disappointed . That will cost votes unless Edgar can rig that back in

  3. At least he has shown us his wife nomba ka hh,why does he hide his wife kanshi,or is it that she has no confidence in him like many other Zambians? Tu Upend tell us about your ka first lady, maybe ma rules yabu FREEMASON.

    • You are voting for chosen candidate not his wife . That’s why First Ladies become big headed when in plot 1
Betty Kaunda best First Lady ever . Not these when a husband dies before even grass grows around the tomb she is running for presidency

    • @zamcab! Please don’t show us your ignorance. HH showed us his at his first rally in Kanyama and launch of his campaigns. Please debate on facts

    • This is a Christian country and we shall not be ruled by a Muslim in the name of Edgar Lungu. He will change the constitution to allow secularism.

  4. It’s Edgar Lungu’s wind blowing in the Zed air all the way !!

Together we Can !!…From the Northen, Luapula,Southern,Western,Eastern,Copperbelt, Muchinga, North western,Central and Destination Lusaka provinces

    One Zambia One Nation !!

    Viva ! Edgar Lungu !!

  5. Cartel you cant stop what God has commissioned. Money will never buy love. Let the will of the People prevail. Shame on you!!! Sampa humble yourself or this may be the end of your political career. Edgar Lungu we wish you all the best.

  6. Edgar Lungu will be embarrassed in Mungu. I even shudder to think what would happen. Mulozi akiwakubapalisa. Luna fa ki HH bondate. Ammuyise zabukuba ona koo…

    • mwaumfwa bamyeba! open your eye PF I say Open your eyes!!!! You are doomed! I was a strong supporter of PF because Sata promised more money in my pocket. I have switched camp now because he is no more and EL cant fulfil that promise because he has no vision.

    • There you go, regional thinking! But true lozis (in Western Province) have seen the development never seen in their lives. Its mwamukolo again…..

    • News from Mongu they have warned Edgar Lungu and Inonge to there at there own risk.PF is not needed in Mongu.UPND and MMD can go but PF will be rejected openly .

  7. People of Western Province will not be cheated by PF again. This time around the people of Western Province will teach the PF liars a very very good lesson.

    • PF came third in Western Province so you can vote for your HH for all I care. You accuse Bembas of only voting for themselves or their cousins and yet you do the same. Double standards as usual!

    • Definitely people of Western Province will support HH even more this time. Indeed if Bembas support themselves or their cousins only why should it be a problem for the people of Western Province supporting their cousin? People of Western Province have been lied to before by PF and they are not going to entertain the liars again. Never.

    • PF (Eastern, Northern, Lusaka, Copperbelt, Luapula)
      UPND (Southern, North-Western, Western)
      MMD (Central Province, Eastern Province)

Work out the math, RB’s presence will split HHs support in provinces he really needs to win an election such as Western, N- Western Provinces.

    • @7.3, yours is a biased “analysis”. Why don’t you want to see that RB’s presence will also split Edgar Lungu’s support in Eastern, Lusaka and Central provinces. For your information HH’s support in Western and North-Western Provinces has increased tremendously because of endorsements from people like Milupi, General Masheke and others. Things are really happening on the ground for HH in those provinces.

    • Both N/western and western is for HH on a big scale this time, we have been insulted a lot together with our tonga cousins. If they always support themselves why shouldn’t we support ourselves also. We have been lied to several times.

  8. Pabwato reloaded, I have said something similar to you but mine was based on total votes received by each party in 2011. These are physical realities but some people mistake their wishes for the truth. Some hardcore cadre called me names. Expect the same treatment my friend but advise them to call you on Thursday 21st January 2015.

    • Yes, these UPND cadres are deluded, they now even claiming that the 2008 voters roll that ushered in RB is the same as 2011 that ushered in Sata. Those were two completely different voters role.

Their HH got 2 500 votes in Northern with registered voters of 660 000 and they think their HH from nowhere he will get 10 000. He will be lucky to even manage 1000 this time around.

  9. Changing voter mentality is really hard. The likely outcome will be that voter turn-out will be low due to rains, mud etc. Politics in Zambia are largely still regional, HH will not perform well in Northern, Luapula, Copperbelt and Eastern Provinces. The coming in of RB could mean that Western Province is hotly contested between RB and HH, same scenario in N-Western and Central Provinces.

    • HH will take Southern, Western, Northwest, Central and rural C/Belt and a bit of N/Province and share spoils with RB in the East (Paya farmer) will kill Edgar Vodka in E/Province. Mind you he has a following in Cities like Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Kabwe. This will be voting pattern time around. PF has lost it this time around.

  10. I seem to have warmed up to this new Secretary General of PF, Davies Chama. He comes across as a humble gentleman, nefi muchinshi sana futi. Such a far cry from that Wynter thing.

  11. Q: So Hon. EL, what is your education policy?

A: Ah Ah I am not the education minister, go and ask the education minister…..
    On radio Pheonix

    this just made my day.

we are voting for HH come 20.01.2015 bwana

    Chumbu Mulolwa
    Asp LT BB2015

  12. I would have loved EL to drop off that stick. I abhor witchcraft and to me certainly that is a witchcraft stick. PF can not be trusted. So many road accidents during the PF period. Bald heads were banned. Things now appear to have stabilized. EL should believe in himself and not in “vishala”. Witchcraft is responsible for 15-20% of poverty in Zambia and witchcraft is responsible for 15-20% of deaths in Zambia. PF is synonymous with witchcraft. Deny this at your own peril.

    • Do not be supersticious. Literate people must not believe in witchcraft. People die because someone drives carelessly, either as a victim or as a perpetrator. There is no science to these things!

  13. Well PF is still the party we’ll vote for.Western province has never seen development for the last 20 years compared to what they have seen in PF.PF is busy making roads in western province.Kalabo-Mongu Road and other roads.PF will get more votes than MMD in western province.HH will do better in western but PF will gain more. Not only that in Eastern PF,central and north western PF will also get more votes compared to last elections.Meanwhile luapula, northern, muchinga,cb will not change.Lusaka will slightly change but UPND will not get 80,000 votes.UPND will get good votes from southern province.conclusion PF wins with more than 50% votes. We are campaigning for PF.We can see development in PF govt.

  14. Don’t even go to WESTERN SIR, u were already blessed by the LITUNGA hence all the votes to U , TRY IN THIS SHORTEST time southern, northwestern and CB. EASTERN LUAPULA AND NORTHERN 100 4U

  15. EL is very easy to sale baba!infact its people who made EL PF president!we now have peace due to EL being made PF president.if many people want Miles Sampa we could’ve seen protesting or causing chaos, but its quiet, showing that EL has been accepted! The turn out on 20/01/2015 wont be like in summer.it’ll be low.but this will affect all parties mostly opposition UPND which depend on voters from rural southern, western and n/western.these are farming provinces and many in january will be in their fields!the 2011 results look bad for HH as the gaps in many provinces are huge!plus HH only came out number 1 in southern!recall same register will be used!

    • These are facts, we will be in our fields planting. Bo HH, didn’t you see this? Give up badala!
Eastern, Luapula, Northern, Muchinga, Copperbelt and Lusaka will surely vote for Edgar and PF big time.

  16. No need to go to luapula.Luapula is PF period.I come from there. We don’t allow such parties in luapula province.Luapula is still intact.viva EL.He should just go to eastern, northwestrn, western and central.Anyway he may go also to southern.mwamukolooooooooooooooooo

  17. I remember some pipo once said sata will never be president. What happened? He entered state house altho he did facko. Never say never. HH can be elected.

    • HH can be president , but not in this election. All the olds are stuck with him. The same reason Sata lost in 2008 to RB are the same reason that HH is losing to EL, and if he survies UPND revolt, maybe he can have a chance in 2016 if Lungu really messes up, but again there is Nevers Mumba with more National appeal. I think HH is in real trouble as a politician my friend. He better win this time, if he doesn’t , kaya amama ine.

    • Mmmmm?? You have said it, that is King Cobra and please don’t insult us by comparing the Under Five to the King atase!!! How dare you campare Sata to sly HH?

  18. PF may just as well commit suicide. They picked a wrong guy for a candidate. EL is a disgrace on the campaign trail. He is failing to inspire.

    • This is a big lie. You lied to us that you had crowds in Kabwe til we saw road hustlers there. Someone lied and alarmed them that there was free meat being distributed! Those are curious onlookers who are bored and jostle at anything that makes noise!!
You wait for the PF rallies in Central Province. UPND is the late FULL STOP!!

  19. Kikikikiki ati Edgar a rally in Mongu? You think mu lozi is stupid? As we speak the boys are organising and we intend to boo this drunkard. Mu Lozi akiwakubapalisa.

  20. Bloggers, can you help me score HH, EL, NM, & RB in the following sectors:
    1. enhancing our international relations
    2. job creation
    3. enhancing manufacturing sector
    4. enhancing agriculture sector
    5. enhancing mining industry
    6. de-cadrelization of the civil service
    7. general improvement of social life.

Please use scale of 1-5 in rating these individuals. 5 being the highest score. Thanking you in advance for helping me to choose the right candidate on 20th Jan 2015.

  21. Chase him out of Barotseland.Yeo a ki naha ya ku bapalisa.Licakolwe ki za mwa Lusaka.
    Tukongote wa mwana Nongolo.
Mu zuhe hande Mambumbwe a Lyambai.

  22. ba pf if you depend on old records then you are wrong look at the current situation eg fdd e nawakwi is addressing large clouds in copperbelt so is nevers mumba and also hh in the strong hold of pf we can go to other provinces = luapula northen eastern and muchinga which are really strong hold of pf votes will be shared so dont get surprised . also people will judge according to what you delivered and not the name sata no bwana that also will contribute to your down fall and in these areas mentioned votes will be shared . then we move to other provinces known as strong hold of upnd so to use old records will be completely wrong. mark my word. that is why we see hh as a winner in 20 january 2015

  23. Lungu is man of the people. He has lived in komboni and Affluent places so understands the needs of people both in komboni and Mayadi that’s why the man has no pride in him but down to earth, so respectful. Bola panshi ba Edgar Lungu baisa. Baume. Edie, continue on the same wavelength. You are on Course.

  24. At least the man “without” a vision has released his campaign program and the whole country is following him, unlike the ka chimbwi ka HH moving headless and no message!!
Viva Edgar the Litunga has blessed you already.

  25. The careless utterances by Syacheye Madyenkunku and Ackson Sejani still linger in my head and gives me itching headache and rush; reason for me not to endorse HH and UPND unless HH publicly apologises to the nation then I will consider endorsing UPND -2021. For now only PF shows signs of making it. Viva EL!! I can’t bear let alone comprehend the fact that UPND will lead us into by-elections for them to beef up parley, number of ministers who will be frustrated and the number of unfinished PF projects. I can’t stand cousin loud-mouth Mweetwa becoming Minister. EL aleisa aleisa!!
    Lying detector checkpoint:

Will reinstate PF-sacked indiscipline nurses: HH is being truthful
Will reintroduce fuel/maize subsidy: HH is being truthful

    • Never be misled by utterances of house niggers like madyenkuku and sejani. The two are useless turncoats who are in the same league as masebo. HH will carry the day even in Gwembe whence the two hail.

    • Thorn in flesh.Go to hell is HH madyekunku and mwananjiti. After all Madyekunku is PF now. This 2014 not 2006.Its a complete new Game.Haleisa Mwaiche.

  26. Zambia ends with A and the first six presidents surname will end with A. Greek prophet

    power of A.
    1.Kaunda- ends with A
    2.Chiluba -ends with A
    3. Mwanawasa – ends with A
    4.Banda – ends with A
    5.Sata – ends with A
    6. ?????? – end with A

it can really hurt you, but its happening.

    • @ easy, how about this too :

First Jubilee and it’s First president’s name : KK.

Second jubilee and it’s First President’s name : HH

This is no mere coincidence but what should happen but sometimes a nation can go against logic and reap the consequence affecting even coming generations.

Wake up Zambia, throw away tribal emotions, use jubilee knowledge and wisdom. By this logic, It just have to be HH ( Higher Heights ) otherwise EL ( End of Logic ) will prevail for mother Zambia.

      Choose wisely.

  27. When Edgar leaves Mongu , he must ensure the barotse trouble maker munyengandambo(whatever they call him) and his fools are dealt with once and for all.

  28. Charles Milupi may be on the campaign team for Halenya Halenya but he is not a factor in Western province. What a waste

  29. Ba LT the title of the rallies should change from “Edgar Lungu’s weekend rallies move to Mongu and Lusaka” to “PF’s weekend rallies move to Mongu and Lusaka”
Don’t personalise these rallies from now onwards write PF goes, PF chakuti kuti. Why I say so it is not one mans show but a team. Every one who goes there will speak on the platform.

  30. The balancing of HH’s team is just too good. The likes of Mutati, Milupi, Maureen, Bandas, Kalumba and others will definitely deliver &zambia will be much better than it is at the moment.

  31. @Moyes 31, LT are saying Edgar BECAUSE THEY KNOW tht the letters PF are synonimous to CORRUPTION and CONFUSION & to paint a good picture they ve call PF Edgar.

    VIVA FLIGHT2015HH.

  32. And where is Nevers Mumba when his friends in PF are coming together with Lungu when he continues throwing mad at RB? And someone says this man was or is a Pastor?

  33. It’s a good thing 13th falls on a Saturday and not Friday!

Sure Sampa’s, rage combined by ill winds of Friday 13s would lead him to murder!

  34. Go Lungu! Zambia is not copper belt or Lusaka. Go Lungu to all corners of Zambia. The President is for all tribes. You are showing a national character …
Even when you speak for 5 minutes full of sense and substance IS better that 1 hour or talk without substance.

  35. People of Zambia must redeem themselves by voting for HH on 20 January 2015. A drunkard with questionable credibility will take the country nowhere. Vote HH.

  36. HH has no votes NEVER NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OOOOOO!
Lungu Edgar Zambia’s sixth President. Tongas to hell in Zambia. Mwikesha voteleni EL and his PF come January 20 2015

  37. Victory for EL is very evident in the spirit of unity of purpose dispelling the notion that PF is a Bemba party. Bembas are not tribalists and they have proved to the entire African continent that PF is truly a democratic party. Which of these political parties have gone to conventions with 9 presidential hopefuls to contest for their party presidency? upnd adopted hh, MMD elected Nevers Mumba but later discarded him whereas others did not even hold an election.

  38. Ok…. We the people in Northern, Luapula and MuchingaProvinces are watching. Want to see what happens in Mongu, Southern and Western provinces
