The opposition MMD President Nevers Mumba has advised his fellow politicians not to use the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people as a tool for their campaigns.

Addressing a rally in Kasama District in Northern Province this afternoon, Dr. Mumba says it is unfortunate that most of the political parties are using the recognition of Mr. Sosala as a way of getting into State House.

Dr. Mumba states that there is need for politicians to engage in meaningful campaigns and not use issues that they cannot fulfill.
And Dr. Mumba has urged the people of Zambia not to vote for the PF for failing to pay farmers up to this time.

He wonders how most farmers will buy their farming inputs when government has delayed to pay them.

He has assured them that he will fight for them until they are paid all their dues so that they adequately prepare for this farming season.

  1. Which rally is this picture? The same picture was on another rally you featured on your page. Should we say The Lusaka Times is working against MMD?

    • Nevers Mumba should attack no other but Willie Nsanda & Lungu… what a terrible team.
I feel sorry for Guy Scott, his presence at PF rally are contradicting his speeches.
Best Guy Scott can do is to give excuses that he was busy with government issues, unfortunately not in weekends.

    • At the same rally in Kasama, in the presence of Pastor Mumba, Elizabeth Chitika urged the people at the rally to vote for Mumba because he was the same tribe as them. She claimed Mutale Nalumango is supporting HH because her husband is Lozi and that HH is using Mutati as a bait for the the Bemba vote. I am Bemba and i get nauseated by such comments y our leaders. Nevers Mumba should have censured Elizabeth but he kept shaking his head approvingly. What a shame

    • I saw naked tribalism being practiced by MMD speakers. Chitika was the worst of them all. She point-blank said “don’t vote for HH because he is Tonga,” claiming that Tongas ONLY Vote for Tongas. What a shame.

I challenge Her to show me any MP in North, Much & Luap Provs who is Lozi or Ngoni etc. And can she also refute the fact that Luapula voted almost 100% for PF. Doesn’t she know that South P. overwhelmingly for Chiluba?

My message to Zambians is to say ABASH to Tribalism. Divisive elements like Chitika should be thrown into political dungeons where they belong.

  2. Imwe.

Mwala twala ici senena kwi sano? Lekeni Kanabesa wesu, umwine Lubemba atushe mu cibote.

Apa pene na tu champele tonse, akali apa akati mfyo mfyo mfyo Chitimukulu…..mfyo mfyo mfyo…… Sosala.

    Basop!

    • Citutuma,,,,ucili uletutuma? Hhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

UPND na Hakainde Hichilema baboola, musa!

      Ruuuuuuun!

      Kikikiki

  3. But I would like to know where each candidate stands on this issue, especially Edigar Lungu, now that Nkandu Luo the architect of the problem is his Advisor. Here in bembaland we are taking this marriage of convenience seriously in predicting Edigar’s mind on the matter. Our “yes” vote lingers here also until a clear position from those seeking office is clearly known. We need no liars, no oppressors and corrupt elements who are bent on using public office for misplaced family egotistic, uncultured and illigal appetites. Tell us we’re you stand!

    • From the above I feel sure you can decipher it’s Bemba. Not even the real deal, there are those that I can learn from, but I try my best. For example I wish I knew amalumbo (praises) properly.

    • Jessie, ulesosa pa mishikakulo? Wisakamana mwana wesu. Ekotuli fwe ndume shobe. Nifwe twasungo tubwiingi. Mu tubwilingi mwine umu, e mwalala ubushinkiti bwa Lubemba.

    • @ Ba Seize Banda
Natotela ba ndume, pali aya ma shiwi na pokelela. Lesa apale – tepaa kuleka mukwai. No mutima waikala pa kumfwa ukuti mwaa suunga ubushinkiti bwa Lubemba.

      Naa kale balika mukwai.

      Naleka Nine,
      Nkashi wenu Jessie.

  4. MMD is a cardinal player in zambia’s political discourse, it’s not only about Dr Mumba, but Zambian democracy.

Without MMD input our streets shall be awash with machet violence by Kachasu-candidate supporters. HH’s politics of illusionism and freebies will also take root.
    We need none of that.

This son of a kachema has opposed to every realistic proposal including raised retirement age. The kid can’t believe the euphoria, he’s not sure whether he’s coming or oing.
    A terrible gamble indeed.

Mumba is the strongest individual and most realistic presidential candidate from the lot.

  5. NEVERS JUST CAMPAIGN AND PROPOUND YOUR CONSTITUTION. THE RECOGNITION OF SOSALA IS JUST PART OF IT. OTHERWISE PF HAS MANY EXIHIBITS OR TROPHIES AS THEY SAY. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH LEWANIKA HOSPITAL IN MONGU YESTERDAY AND EVEN WHEN I LIVE OVERSEAS. WHAT MORE THE PEOPLE OF MONGU AND ZAMBIA THE HOSPITAL WILL DIRECTLY BE SERVING?

  6. mumba nevers loves good living on a silver plate,he is a bad leader who led his flock in a ditch though there was no lion but the flock dìed of thirst for the word while he war wineing and dinning with Mwanawasa before being firing for demanding for more for take away,he is stil a man of god with a small g

  7. HH , when you come into power, first 2 months, bring back all PF, in foreign Missions, starting first to New York,
All cadres, send them packing, followed by UK, South Africa, Washington, utwashala, ni pole pole. Batumpisha. Pafula

  8. So Nevers is the one to identify issues that people can use or not use. Sounds a bit like a referee. Hope he allows them to use ‘fired nurses’ issue.

  9. The MMD rally was a shame. Like most people noted, I was very disappointed by the levels of tribalism exhibited by the speakers. It all started with Nevers himself, saying some people didn’t want a bemba to contest the 2015 elections. What about Pule, Chanda, etc are they not bemba? And then Chitika and Mbulakulima also came on to spice the tribal comments from their childish president. Shame on MMD. What message will you go with to the rest of the provinces after your rally in Kasama? It is such careless talk which brought bloodshed in Rwanda. Zambia is past tribes, we are ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION, ONE NATION ONE PEOPLE.

  10. I would rather vote for a man of God who has the fear of God and has tasted the power in government than these questionable business men and drunkards.

  11. “Chitika” in bemba means not “full”. Politics of division is not welcome in Zambia because all political parties have members from almost all tribal groupings, only composition in terms of population varies.
