Power Dynamos scoop Larry Bwalya

Power Dynamos have made a pre-2015 season transfer coup with the signing of promising teenage midfielder Larry Bwalya.

The Zambia Under-20 star has signed a one-year deal with Power from K-Stars after spending the 2014 season at Nchanga Rangers on another short-term deal.

“Looking at the way we struggled in midfield last year, I think we are happy and we just need to support the young boy,” Power coach Tennant Chilumba said.

“To me it is a big signing because it will change our formation.”

Bwalya is the second high profile arrival at Power after fellow midfielder Kelvin Mubanga who joined from Nkana on a permanent move.

Meanwhile, Power have began 2015 pre-season training at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on Monday.

Several trialists trained under Chilumba including Nkana second choice goalkeeper Charles Mweemba, Zesco United defender Gift Sakuwaha and fullback White Mwanambaba of Napsa Stars.

“The response was OK, the attendance excellent and you can’t even notice that we were on off-season,” Chilumba said.
