Chieftainess Waitwika of the Namwanga people of Nakonde district in Muchinga Province says the Patriotic Front (PF) Government has delivered on its 2011 campaign promises.

Speaking at her palace yesterday morning when PF presidential candidate, Edgar Lungu, paid a courtesy call on her, Chieftainess Waitwika said late President Michael Sata and his government delivered on their 2011 campaign promises.

The traditional leader said the PF Government has delivered development to all parts of the country, adding that President Sata had literally turned the entire country into a construction site in the three years he had ruled the country.

The traditional leader said President Sata knew that he would not rule the country for a longer period and this is the reason he committed himself to transform the entire country by embarking on various projects and programmes aimed at changing the lives of the Zambian people.

She said it was important that the person taking over from the late President Sata continues from where he had ended.

Chieftainess Waitwika also described the late President Sata as a leader who loved his people and was committed to improve the welfare of the majority poor Zambians.

The traditional leader, who said she is optimistic that Mr Lungu would emerge victorious in the January 20, 2015 Presidential by-election, said Mr Lungu would do well to emulate the late President Sata and the manner he ruled the country.

Chieftainess Waitwika said President Sata did not choose people to work with and loved his people regardless of their affiliation, creed and belief.

Mr Lungu was received on arrival at Waitwika Secondary school grounds by Nakonde Member of Parliament, Abel Sichula and Isoka Member of Parliament, Malozo Sichone and many other party officials.

Mr Lungu, who is accompanied by Muchinga Province party chairman, Mwansa Kapeya and Mr Samuel Mukupa among other senior party officials, is expected to address a rally later in the day.

Mr Lungu last evening addressed a public rally in Isoka where he reaffirmed his commitment to take on the vision of the late President Sata and ensure that the country is developed.

    • This Chief evidently has the new constitution which PF promised they would deliver in 90 days, I bet he also buys cheaper mealie meal, farmers in his chiefdom got inputs in time and they have been paid in full. Such shallow analysis for a representative of the poor masses is frightening!

    • Anyway Chief Waitika, PF mostly developed the Northern part of the country and forgot that, Zambia is not only Muchinga but even other provinces, who in fact are the beacon of this state. North Western province is currently feeding the nation.
Now, where is the 90 days constitution, honorary of the Barotseland Agreement 1964, more money in peoples pockets?
Please Chief Waitika, show us the constitution please and not the animal one. PF has destroyed the country which Zambia’s Fragile State Index trends are staggering in an HD~86.2%. The pressure is on before it gets 100%, graduating with a Phd into the Failed State Index, then Anarchy kicks off!
14 days left until PF doormats are discarded and never exist!

  1. Continue where Sata ended, dangerous, Sata end at the grave. So in short Lungu is headed to …….. Sata brought more misery to the people of Zambia, he had to die to save many more lives of innocent people who could not get their retirement money or farmers who could not get paid, as a result failed to send their children to school, that nurse who was fired for voicing there dissatisfaction of conditions of service. Well Nsanda and other PF chaps were stealing. For sure with all these humans suffering because of Sata, he surely had to take an early rest, MHSRIP not in a bad way.

  2. She should ve NAMED ONE PROMISE WHICH HAS BEEN FULFILLED.

We kno tht RB’s money has been paid to you. Sata was a ‘ACTION MAN’ BUT DUE to OLD AGE and POOR HEALTH he TERRIBLY FAILED to work as a PRESIDENT and USELESS MINISTERS of the likes of Kachasu man couldnt approach and advise him.

What can come out of Lungu ?

    • January 21, it will be announced…Edgar Lungu is leading in the elections

January 23/24 it will be announced…Edgar Lungu has won the elections

By the first week of February it will be announced…HH has resigned as UPND president..

****VIVA EDGAR LUNGU 2015 AND 2016****

    • Muchinga was declared a province, 3 Universities in Muchinga, the administrative office is a state of art in Muchinga, she has seen development in her area. But madam, the rest of the country has not seen that development, HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  3. Friends, do not make it a game of heaping insults on me. I am just extrapolating 2011 results into 2015 expected results. No malice and all the best to candidates to prove me wrong. A number of factors do change the forecasts and surveys. Barring any abnormal event between now and January 20, the following are expected results:
EL is expected to garnish 1,550,000 votes while HH will get 980,790 votes. A word of caution though. Above results have taken into account a trend change of 30% in favour of HH and all votes of Mr. Chilupi going to HH. A further 20% shift will be a game changer. That will make HH a winner with 1,291,000 votes against EL’s 1,240,000.
I am willing to share these and discuss what needs to be done to win last minute shift. Only EL and HH shall contact me, no…

  4. If it is true that Lungu is using RB money and not Nsanda that is good news. RB wants to punish the bemba people for the pain he has gone through the last 3 years. All bembas will be fired from top positions, replaced by other tribes as Lungu consolidates his position for 2016, if this is true, Lungu has my back. After all us bembas are one of the lest educated in Zambia, used to stealing and thuggery behavior. I think whoever wins HH or Lungu, the bemba are in trouble this time around. I give Lungu the benefit of doubt but I think if he is dealing with the mature RB who has learned the lesson of how bembas can mistreat you, it will be a nice game. Punish the bembas, he can still win 2016 as bemba is not Zambia, all tribes make up Zambia. At this point go Lungu or HH. Fix my tribe.

    • In addition to my extrapolation based on who is supporting who + other variables, today’s announcement by Chiefs from Southern Province will polarise Zambians on tribal lines and the loser will be HH. Without them uttering any word, HH was having a clean sweep in Southern Province and there was no need for chiefs to open their mouths. They might be meaning well but reverse psychology will work and chiefs from Northern, Muchinga, Luapula and Eastern Provinces and their subjects will see it as a tribal grouping wako ni wako and they will vote en masse on tribal lines. HH shall sit down and do damage control before it is too late.

    • @Carrs,from the moment you mentioned ‘us Bembas’ I knew that you’re not one. Just campaign for your candidate HH and leave EL alone..I am tired your tribal this, tribal that UP n Down party.

  5. we are on the right track and we will follow through with delivering on the late HE MCS’s promises through development for all Zambians. thank you Chieftainess for seeing things objectively while others say this government has done nothing.

  6. Change, what makes you think I am not bemba? I am bemba, have friends from different parts of Zambia, tribe is not a stigma for me but get disappointment with my tribe, check any stealing reported in papers 90% is my tribe, I quote LST today ” The contract which was signed by Transport, Works, Supply and Telecommunications Permanent Secretary Francis Kamanga and Titus Chansa, the Head of Purchasing and Supplies Unit at the same ministry was single sourced” Issue of Kapoko. Nobert Peleti and Evaristo Musaba,Dr. Chrispine Sichone and Zukas Musonda Kaoma are charged with Theft by Public Servant contrary to Section 272 and 277 of the Penal Code Cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia. It is alleged that Dr. Chrispine Sicjone and Zukas Musonda Kaoma between 1st October, 2007 and 31st October, 2007…

    • @Carrs,the more you campaign on tribal lines, the more you’ll be decampaigning UPND….just look at that kabova cartoon advert your party came up with,is that the best UPND can come up with to attract the Bemba vote? Ninshi mumona ati aba Bemba balishalila sana and that kabova advert will appeal to them? Anyway,I won’t say much,we’re only 14 days away from the election!!!

  7. ba cars
u sound like a headless chiken your analysis is like that of new born baby very imature.not giving any sense at all
    thanx

  8. Well said traditional leader!late Sata really did very well and Edgar Lungu will do well to continue Sata’s legacy once he wins!if people will voting based on PF’s splendid performance, then Edgar Lungu is already a winners bcoz PF works under our beloved Sata are there for all honest zambians to see!VIVA PF AND GO EDGAR LUNGU GO!

  9. This is hardly surprising. Did we expect a chief in Muchinga to say things to the contrary? The answer is a big NO. The reason is simple even every f00l knows that Muchinga Province like every other northern region was where Sata and his PF government spent millions in development.

  10. Edith Nawakwi,
Explain truth to your highness Waitwika, me thought being related to Waitwika she would not be duped by 90 days false promises of ‘Donchi Kubeba’. Pathetic legacy of PF left behind of UBUFI.

  11. Her royal highness is realistic. she is not endorsing Edith because of relationship. which president in the history of Zambia has ever looked after Chiefs than the PF government? Answer, non other than PF, hence her utterance. Not cabe someone is in diaspora and only reads ZWD online and believes everything. Atase imwe. Me and her royal highness have decided that our valuable vote will be for ECL just like 80% of Zambians.
