Best ref nomination cheers Gladys Lengwe

Kitwe based FIFA referee Gladys Lengwe is delighted to have been nominated for the 2014 Zambian referee of the year award.

Lengwe, who won the same award in 2012 and 2013, is competing against Kapiri Mposhi referee Jani Sikazwe and Lusaka based Wellington Kaoma.

“Obviously, I am happy to be recognized in the country,” she said.

Last year, Lengwe officiated at the Youth Olympics in China and the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.

“I am not worried whether or not I win the award,” she said.

Lengwe is the only female centre referee in the FAZ Super League.

    • The friends of UPND( Rebel MPs from PF & MMD) have advised the party to rethink about their presidential candidate for 2016. After travelling the country campaigning for HH, they have seen that just like Kabimba, HH is not saleable and cannot win an election(Presidential or parliamentary). They contend that in what ever form you package HH, it will be impossible for him to win. They are therefore suggesting Garry Nkombo or Fekix Mutati takes over the leadership of UPND. only then will there be a chance for the UPND to form the next govt.
