Blades survived relegation on the final day of the 2014 league campaign after finishing 12th with 36 points from 30 matches.

“As Konkola Blades we want to work hard and compete for the league. We want to win the league,” he said.

The club has never won the top flight league since it was founded in 1956.

“We want to make sure that we are equal to the task when the league starts. That is why we are beefing up our team,” Chota said.

The club has so far lost top striker Humphrey Maseneko to Zesco United and defender Clement Chileshe who has moved to Nkana.
