Janza wants to qualify Zambia to Russia 2018

Share

Coach Honour Janza says he wants to be the first trainer to qualify Zambia to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Janza believes he may be the first coach to lead Chipolopolo to the World Cup.

“I see Zambia going to the World Cup in the next five years,” he told ZNBC TV on Sunday.

Janza qualified Zambia to the 2015 Africa Cup where the team bowed out in the first round without a single win in Equatorial Guinea.
“I may be the first to take Zambia to the World Cup,” he said.

Janza vowed that he will succeed as Chipolopolo coach.

He again defended his decision to drop some senior national team players prior to the Africa Cup.

“We needed to change the team but it’s not easy to rebrand the team,” Janza said.

  1. Really laughable you are making promises about 2018 and you don’t even have a contract in your hand with terms…what folly. Anyway Zambia is going NOWHERE with corrupt empty suits like Galu still running the show!!

  2. It’s better to dream and have your dreams not realized than not to dream at all. Now if the past is the predictor of the future then personally I will be skeptical.
To me the team’s performance at the last AfCON was expected and its first round elimination thus accepted. Since taking over as Coach the team’s performance has been pedestrian. Whilst your effort to tweak the side by trying out new blood is commendable your failure to elicit the best out of our average players was so obvious to ignore.
Well time is an incorruptible judge. As a soccer fan I can only wish you good luck

  3. Iwe, chijanza you are just killing Zambia football, you failed to learn from the tactician Renard. You don’t even know how to read the game, you are fit to coach modafa or amature teams not even a division 2 team, keep on dreaming the dreams which will never come true. You just want to deceive us after all, you failed at afcon 2015.

  4. To go and do what in Russia??? Just sit and be looking at each other with Kalusha Bwalya at FAZ house or go poaching. You failed to get to second round at AFCON and you want to promise use a 50 + 1 which will not be there. Do not promise just sign or ask for a contract.

  5. I thought he was fired! What is the new minister of sport waiting for? This guy makes me puke!!Where did he play and coach football? We have a lot of ex Zambian internationals who can make Zambia proud and qualify for the world cup.Save us from this lunacy.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  6. Seriously, Janza needs to improve technically as well as sharpening his ability to read a game. A coach who is poor in such areas can never take a team to the world cup. After working with Herve Renard for a long time, one would have expected Janza to be doing exceptionally well in those areas.
