Roan United out-style Mine Police

Roan United were the best performers on opening day of the 2015 FAZ Division One North season as they thumped Konkola Mine Police 3-0 in a Week One match played in Luanshya on Saturday.

New signee from Young Power Eddie Sinyangwe grabbed a brace at Kafubu Stadium with midfielder Victor Kashitu scoring the other goal for the Fordson Kabole coached side.

Elsewhere, Lawrence “Big Jim” Mweemba started his reign as Ndola United coach with a 2-1 away win over his former employers Kitwe United at Garden Park Stadium.

Allan Kasongo gave the Buchi Boys a fake early lead before Greenwell Lwitika equalised prior to the break and Rex Chanda scored the winner for Ndola in the last half.

Coach Weston Mumba’s first game in-charge of Mufulira Blackpool ended in a 1-0 victory over Lumwana Radiants away in North Western Province.

Laston Katuta scored the lone goal for Blackpool.

The other winners in the Northen Division were Kansanshi Dynamos who snatched a 2-1 away victory at FQM Mining in a local derby.

Newly promoted Real Nakonde stole a 1-1 away draw at Gomes Wanderers in Ndola.
