Power Dynamos win but exit Africa

Share

Power Dynamos on Saturday mounted a desperate rally to beat CF Mounana but it was not enough save their interest in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

Power beat the Gabonese 3-0 to bow out 4-3 on aggregate on Saturday in first round, final leg match at at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

The result was way short of the 5-0 target they needed to overturn the 4-0 loss their suffered in the first leg on March 22 in Libreville.

Power took a 1-0 halftime lead through midfielder Kelvin Mubanga before striker Alex Ngonga made it 2-0 in the 68th minute.

Zambia defender Christopher Munthali scored the final goal with a tap-in from close range in the 88th minute but sadly it was a huge ask to score five goals for Power at the end of the day.

  1. The problem is that power conceded a lot way. They would have avoided that, to be on the good side. This has been the scenario before we saw the similar result last year. In Zambia we are used even at national lever.it is the same so, we are not upset this is normal for Zambia. Next time we will try.

  2. TOO BAD BA POWER UKU KWELA INDEKE IMIKU IBILI? (twasebana pa Zambia/KITWE) bcoz last time they were booted out by TP. Mazembe (6~0).
So if Mubanga & Muntali did not score what could be the resuits today 1 ~0?
Anywere i cant say anything it was 3~0 they have ‘WON’ but?

  3. The Power coach promised the Nation that ‘they will qualify despite going down 4 – 0 away. Any comment from the coach?
