Mighty introduces monthly player awards

FAZ Super League side Mufulira Wanderers have introduced two monthly awards for players at the legendary club.

The player of the month and most consistent awards are being bankrolled by NATSAVE Bank.

The awards were launched by NATSAVE Bank Managing Director Cephas Chabu with Wanderers midfielder Jacob Ngulube scooping the Player of the Month Award for April worth K500.

Right back and club captain Taonga Bwembya won the Most Consistent Player Award for April worth K500.

“I am sure these awards will motivate players. Every month we will be able to appreciate you (players) for what you are doing so that will imspire and motivate you for better results,” Chabu said.

Mighty is the first Super League club to initiate monthly awards for players.

  1. That is a good incertive. It will go a long way thanks NATSAVE Bank. It will go a long way.

  2. Zambian soccer players are naturally talented. The only setback to exploiting their potential to the fullest are the incentives and the infrastructure. Those of us who love football are hopeful that other financial institutions will emulate Natsave, Investrust, Barclays and Zanaco in uplifting soccer standards in this country. The late soccer commentator Dennis Liwewe would have said “a big pat on the back of Natsave for their wonderful gesture…..”
