Education minister Michael Kaingu says the Patriotic Front (PF) government should be given another term in office so that it can continue with the vision of the Late President Michael Sata.
Mr. Kaingu said the PF should continue with the developmental projects left by the late Mr. Sata without interruptions so that the ongoing projects can be completed.
He said the Kazungula bridge project is among the many developmental projects that the PF government has put in place saying such developmental projects should be allowed to continue smoothly.
ZANIS reports that the Education minister said this today when he paid a courtesy call on Kazungula Acting District Commissioner Bbaro Goretti at her office.
The Minister also thanked the late Mr. Sata for coming up with the new districts for the purpose of achieving development in the areas.
Mr. Kaingu added that everyone was now enjoying seeing the massive projects coming up in the newly created districts across the country.
He disclosed that Western Province for example has received a total of $29.5 million to go towards the alleviation of water problems in the province adding that he would want the same to happen in Southern province.
Earlier, Kazungula Acting District Commissioner Bbaro Goretti highlighted on a number of developmental projects in the district.
Mrs. Goretti said currently a new police station with ten housing units for the officers are under construction and is expected to be completed by December this year.
She said that works on the civic center and administration block under at slab level will be completed by March 2016.
On the Kazungula Bridge, Mrs. Goretti charged that once completed the bridge will boost the country’s economic development among other benefits.
She also said the bridge project which will take four to five years to be completed will employ more locals in the area.
It is possible to give PF another term but the way Kaingu is treating teachers in his constiuence is not good at all. You cant be insulting and rransfering 15 teachers and DEbs at once. This is not the time to campaign work and ask for a vote based on completed milestones . Incomplete works are signs of incompetence. Why should it take PF 2 terms to complete a bridge?
In fact most of the work PF is boasting about was started by Banda, Kaingu just start thinking of how to survive because when PF goes next year so do you. Didn t one of your ministers weep at the lost vision of the founding father of PF Micheal Sata?

Starting is not completing. Mwanawasa died before even the drawings were done. The Japanese initiated it. Later on we now have the Koreans implementing the Kazungula bridge. PF is not MMD under Chiluba who even destroyed the Ndola stadium and sold everything. Pls. do not hurt us again by this stupid campaign. Let PF continue to implement the projects.
