The firing of Honour Janza as Chipolopolo coach by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has been received with mixed feelings by some soccer fans in Kasama District of Northern Province. Justine Kapambwe observed that the decision made by FAZ to relieve Janza of his duties is very retrogressive to the soccer fraternity.
Kapambwe said this in an interview with ZANIS in Kasama today , He charged that the poor performance by the boys has nothing to do with the coaching staff but indiscipline among the players themselves. Ruth Bwalya also said the decision by the soccer association has been long overdue.
Bwalya expressed optimism that the new coach will take the Chipolopolo boys back to their former glory.She added that Janza has been with a team for some time but failed to prove his capability. She has since expressed optimism that the new coach will work hard and take the Zambian team to higher heights.
FAZ fired Janza as Chipolopolo coach and replaced him with George Lwandamina on Tuesday.
Janza was not fired, he was changed as caretaker coach to concentrate on his main job as technical director.
Lwandamina is not a good coach too…. the way he set up team against Ndola United was pathetic, he almost lost 3-2??
