Nevers Mumba breaks his silence

Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) President Nevers Mumba says his prolonged silence does not mean he is happy with the happenings in the former ruling party.
Dr. Mumba said he has been closely monitoring all the events in the former ruling party and will in due course break his silence and speak out.

Dr. Mumba said Zambians should understand that he respects the values upon which the MMD was founded and will never divert from those values. He said that in this regard, he will openly give his thoughts to the nation sometime next week.

Dr. Mumba has since appealed to MMD members to remain calm and peaceful and never to forget to pray for God to take charge of every situation they are facing.

  1. Ba LT, you report that he has broken his silence by announcing he says he will break his silence next week. Is this newsworthy?

Get serious, if there is nothing to report, focus on editing your facebook profile picture by taking down Lungu’s potriat to appear non-partisan

  2. Only in zed my beloved country. At least you do make me laugh and miss home with stunts like this one.

The Captain is observing as his ship sinks into the abyss.

  3. If I was an adviser to the editors of the Oxford dictionary (which I’m not) I’d advise them to place a side portrait of Nevers Mumba besides the definition of the word ‘finished’. And then I’d advise them to place a frontal portrait of Nevers Mumba besides the definition of the word ‘loser’.

  4. Does anyone care if Mumba talks or not? Who is he even lying to? Was he even there when MMD was being formed? He was then busy scheming with parallel plots in the name of Christianity. You snake in the grass. GO AWAY AGAIN we won’t care!

  5. Breaking silence on what? The party has been canibalised. Only time will tell.

  6. He is better off remaining silent. He has become so irrerevant to Zambian politics and I believe he has very little relevance to his church as well.

  7. If God listens to prayers he hasn’t listened to Nevers Mumba’s prayers

  8. I feel pity for him. Politics has not agreed with him. Florence, please advise your husband, let him retire and go back to the church. He was doing so well there.

    • ba Saimbwende, I like your sarcasm when you say Nevers was doing so well in the church. just as I was doing so well when I was the king of Swaziland..

  9. Mr Mumba should not think that prayer will help him hung on as MMD president. There is neither politics nor democracy in heaven, therefore, Mr. Mumba should leave God out of politics because it is a non starter and God does not choose sides. I hope Mumba will retire and leave MMD for the crooked. He is actually better off as an evangelist or activist not politics.
