NAREP is pleased to announce that it has arranged up to 200 scholarships for Bachelor and Masters Programmes being offered in Chinese universities commencing in September 2015. School leavers and those currently studying in tertiary institutions are invited to submit applications.
The scholarships will cover 50 per cent of tuition and accommodation for the full courses over the entire 4 year period of academic tuition for Undergraduates, whilst a full scholarship program is offered for Master’s students (i.e. tuition and accommodation fees being covered for the entire 3 year period).
This is part of an ongoing programme being facilitated by NAREP in which scholarships will be secured each year to enable eligible Zambians to study a range of academic courses abroad.

What about PhD scholarships?
Chinese don’t train in their Universities. They train in US Universities. Why not get scholarships for Zambian students in America? There will be no language barrier to start with.

Sounds good. Can Narep however explain a little more how they did this. Such facilities are normally arranged govt. to govt. and not any other way.
This is possibly a new avenue Narep has exploited, but I would like to hear and learn more on how it was done.

Well done. This is the way to show people you actually care about them as an aspiring candidate. You are being practical and the country needs practical leaders, not non performers.
Could you also apply the same practicality to the agriculture field in this country. Perhaps you could engage a group of villagers in a farm project and see what happens – identify the group with access to farming land, buy the implements for them and see how much they produce, where they sell it, how much they earn. See if you can move them out of hunger and poverty with your project.

The bigger question is; how does China do such coorperation with an opposition party, exclusively reserved for government-to-government to enter such arrangements?
China could be engaging in un diplomatic activities. China has universities and other institutions that can enter into such arrangements with Narep as a party or institution. On the other hand Narep should focus more on opposing unprogressive activities of PF government such as incasarating innocent citizens such as Pilato the musician, mortgaging our country with debts, good govanance, shootings and harassments of opposition party members and holding to account of president EC Lungu who is excited troting all over the world when the nation needs effective leadership.

50% scholarship has the hallmarks of a business deal all over it between Narep and the University in China. From every student who pays that 50% Narep/Chipimo may just be receiving a handsome commission. I stand to be corrected (even chastised) if I am wrong about this, but I think I have acquired the full measure of knowledge of how the Chinese business mind works. The other question is this is 50% of what amount exactly?? $10,000, $25,000??? Not sure many Zambians can afford the figure that will be thrown in their faces. However, let those who are doing something not be disturbed by those who are doing nothing.
