President Edgar Lungu has returned from Luapula Province where he had launched the Zambia Army Marine Unit in Nchelenge District .
President Lungu’s Presidential Zambia Air force(ZAF) Jet touched down at City Airport at exactly 19: 09 hours.
Vice President Inonge Wina , defence and security chiefs and other senior government officials received the President.
Mr Lungu, who was clad in Zambia Army regalia and in a jovial mood, proceeded to his Presidential vehicle soon after exchanging greetings with defence Chiefs and other senior government officials.
The head of state however did not want to talk to journalists who were geared to ask him probing questions affecting the nation.
The President while in in Nchelenge district, addressed residents of Isokwe Island on Lake Mweru as this is part of securing the water bodies in the Province.
Mr. Lungu was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers , Deputy Ministers, Senior Government officials and staff from the Country’s defence and security wings.
Also in company of the Head of State was Bwana Mukubwa area Member of Parliament Emmanuel Chennda.

It’s very difficult to tell whether he resides on that jet plane or rather he’s of no fixed abode!
“Journalists who were geared to ask him probing questions” – this cannot be true. Poverty stricken Zambian journalists just gather press releases and hastily copy and paste, mistakes included.
If the Presidential jet can land at City Airport including at night, why have we been subjected to useless motorcades as the President goes to KKIA instead? Or Sata’s mad hatter helicopter flights? Are the occupants of State House tuned to cost Zambians the most in terms of time and money?

Every person is great in their own right but one cannot compare EL to Obama or Mandela. What are EL’s achievements? Look at the characters of all three leaders and conclude!
@Cha, I feel for you!! Soon after his first election, Obama made it clear he wanted to reform health care insurance and foreign policy in Middle East. And he set himself on that path.
So since you are comparing Lungu to Obama, name 2 specific goals Lungu set for his presidency and how he is working to achieve those specific goals?
1. Extended holidays;
2. Accumulating forex travelling allowances from BoZ
Ba lusaka times naimwe, why lie, that isn’t a Zambia Air Force plane but purely civilian kept at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Am just extremely disappointed by Lungu’s movement, I personally feel it’s too much. Is he trying to make allowances for himself or what. This jumping like a frog will cost him votes cos in Zambia people are crying for the solutions to acute load shedding.
A presidential plane falls under the air force.
There is no logical basis for comparison between Obama and Lungu. Lungu is a small time regional President in sub Saharan Africa. A non entity on the World political scene. The best Lungu can ever do is visit Mugabe or Museveni. Obama can never come to Zambia for as long as Lungu is President. The latter has nothing to offer. So as far as the comparison goes,I only have two words ; Dream On.
