Promotion chasing Kalulushi Modern Stars have again surrendered the FAZ Division One North top spot to Lumwana Radiants after losing their respective Week 27 match at Indeni on Saturday.
Kalulushi now drops into second place with 52 points, one point behind new leaders Lumwana.
Striker Akakulubelwa Mwachiyaba scored a seventh minute lone goal as Indeni condemned Kalulushi to their seventh defeat of the season.
Despite this 1-0 defeat at Indeni, Kalulushi remain on course to bouncing back to the Super Division having so far posted 16 wins, four draws and seven defeats.
On the other hand, Lumwana returned to the top slot after thumping relegation candidates Konkola Mine Police 3-0 in Solwezi on Sunday.
Forward Lembani Lungu engineered the victory with a hat-trick in this game played at Lumwana Grounds.
Lungu opened the scoring in the first half before scoring twice in the last half as Allan Kamwanga’s boys improved their chances of winning promotion to the Super Division.
Elsewhere, Roan United maintained third place after beating Zesco Luapula 1-0 away at Kaole Stadium in Mansa. Roan have 46 points from 27 matches played.
