  1. Even her body guard, or whatever she is called, is dressed in this black attire altho’ they forgot to put on the “niqab” which leaves a slit for the eyes.

    • Given the purpose of the visit, its a progressive one meant to move the country forward.

Achieve what others before you failed to do for the people….particularly women and children

    • I wouldn’t risk my wife, even if she wears like that. Let them go to Zambia to attend Ngwala ceremony and wear miniskirts.

    • @ Gen how progressive is the trip. What are their records on women and children’s rights. How does Zambia’s Christianity and their religious beliefs relate. Aren’t there countries with high ranking women and children’s rights that Zambians can learn from. Is it necessary to visit these countries to learn from them with the internet and videos around to research on.

    • Women’s and Girls’ Rights. Saudi Arabia’s discriminatory male guardianship system remains intact despite government pledges to abolish it. Under this system, ministerial policies and practices forbid women from obtaining a passport, marrying, traveling, or accessing higher education without the approval of a male guardian, usually a husband, father, brother, or son.

    • Authorities also fail to prevent some employers from requiring male guardians to approve the hiring of adult female relatives or some hospitals from requiring male guardian approval for certain medical procedures for women. In February, a member of the Senior Council of Scholars, the highest state body for the interpretation of Islamic law, issued a fatwa stating that women are not allowed to visit a male doctor without their male guardians. 2. Progressive first first lady! She wants to do what other former first ladies have not done before. Haters she was invited by the King’s wife so why expect government officer to attend instead?

  3. EVEN WEN THE STATEMENT IS CLEAR THAT SHE WAS INVITED BY THE SAUDI MINISTRY OF HEALTH,U GUYS WILL STILL FIND ROOM TO CONDEM HER SAYING HOPE GOVERMENT DINT PAY FOR HER TRIP.SOMETIMES SOME RESPECT EVEN A LITTLE OF TI Z NEEDED FOR PIPO OLDER THAN US.

    • The question is what criteria was used to invite her from all the first ladies in the world, or did the Zambian Government request for an invitation. Maybe if you provided details of how much the trip costed and how much the hosts paid then it may answer people’s questions. People are free to ask questions and answers should be provided.

  4. These are bilateral relations that bring great value to a poor nation like Zambia from a rich nation like Saudi Arabia. Maybe when Islam is grown in the country there will be less thieving of public funds by Zambian accountants and directors.

    • Yes, we should introduce cutting off hands of thieves.

But then how will all these PF politicians be able to do what they are supposed to be doing?

    • Zambia is a Christian Nation and should rise to the occasion spiritually, morally, economically, intellectually etc and be a light to all the nations.

  5. In Muslim countries we bow down to their dressing yet we allow their people to dress by covering their eyes in our country. This is how corruption comes to State House. Why should she be doing what the ministers of Education, Tourism, Agriculture and Health etc are supposed to be doing? We don’t need a Tourism hospital in Livingstone from Saudi Arabia as this will be used to export terrorists in Zambia. We need to protect our Vic falls from terrorists. Let us us ask our Chinese friends to build such hospitals.

  6. Black is too harsh for her complexion. She ought to have worn Zambian attire. But maximum praise for her growing international role.

  7. Mushota
Hate will take you to the grave.
No former first lady was personally invited by US President wives. Easter has been
No former first lady was invited by the Kings wife of one of the richest countries in the world, Easter has been.
All we saw from Maureen and Kaseba was pomposity and to kill and annoy type of dressing.

This is what humbleness brings. Just wait when the kwacha begins to take shape. By 2016 March kwacha will be $1 to K6. Then we will see what HH and his haters will remain with to talk about.

  8. She couldnt wear the chitenge gear instead of muslim gear or shes muslim ?no wonder her husband our Lord Jesus has prompted him to ask Zambians to pray for this nation against terrorists. We are opening doors to undesirable characters.Zambia will be flooded with Islamic funds and it wont be for nothing ya ya ya Awe mwandi POVERTY!

  9. To discuss support for women and children’s affairs in Saudi Arabia? A country where women are not even allowed to drive, a country where it’s illegal to carry a bible with you, a country where one imam killed his 5 year old daughter because he suspected she wasn’t a virgin, a country where be headings are carried out in public squares, a country where………. Please don’t import Islamic fundamentalism into our country by sending Zambians to go and study there and come back with twisted brains.

  10. Google Michelle Obama’s visit to Saudi Arabia she didn’t put on such clothings, it is not mandatory.

    • Other women who visited Saudi Arabia and did not dress like that are Hillary Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Condoleeza Rice etc

  11. Hope that dressing is not making a statement concerning our Christian nation. It is high time Zambia lived by the blessings of being the head and not the tail, being a lender and not a borrower based on Deuteronomy 28 and Galatians 3:13 – 14.

    • Zambians are responsible for their future by voting intelligently and SMART, Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic and Time Bound.
