The ruling Patriotic Front has directed all those aspiring to contest parliamentary elections on its ticket to stop their campaigns for next year’s polls until Parliament is dissolved.

Newly appointed PF Chairperson for Elections Jean Kapata said in an in interview that those vying for adoptions should respect the sitting MPs.

Mrs. Kapata also revealed that the party will give first priority in the adoption process to the sitting MPs.

He said the party will not allow any aspiring candidate to destabilize a sitting MP by launching early campaigns.

‘People will be adopted on their performance and also on the recommendation from their constituency as to what they have done,’ Mrs. Kapata said.

She added, ‘We will open the doors for them to apply and the party will choose the best. They should wait for Parliament to be dissolved and then they can show their interest. We are not allowing anyone to go and destabilize a sitting MP.’

  1. But why do you want us to continue being under useless MPs, that even Sata so called? We need new blood. I think MPs should have a two term limit also – if you can’t bring development in two terms, then, you are good for nothing!

    • YES, TWO TERMS FOR PARLIAMENTARIANS IS A VERY BRILLIANT IDEA. THIS IDEA SHOULD HAVE LONG BEEN THOUGHT ABOUT SO THAT IT IS CAPTURED IN THE NEW CONSTITUTION. THAT ASIDE, I NOW SEE MORE DRAMA IN PF. WATCH MORE CONFUSIONS UNFOLDING IN THE RULING PF PARTY AS WE GET CLOSER TO GENERAL ELECTIONS. LOOTERS EYEING FOR POSITIONS IN ORDER TO ACCESS LOOTING OF THE NATIONAL TREASURY. PF IS FULL OF HEARTLESS CRIMINALS. PF AND LUNGU SHOULD BE KICKED OUT COME 2016 ELECTIONS. THE STRONG WIND OF CHANGE IS SWEEPING ACROSS ZAMBIA. VIVA HH VIVA! VIVA UPND VIVA!

  2. Mumbi Phiri’s words again. PF doesn’t want anyone that is intelligent. They want to continue with the majority dunderheads of MPs who can’t analyse but only sing praise for the clueless!
