Miles Sampa is not a factor-Frank Bwalya

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya says Matero member of Parliament (MP) Miles Sampa is not a factor in sustaining the ruling party’s popularity and so his reported resignation will not rock the party.

Speaking during a special interview on Hot FM radio yesterday, Mr Bwalya said: “It is not a big issue for Mr Sampa to resign, but it would be an issue if President Lungu, Vice-President Inonge Wina, or Minister of Justice Ngosa Simbyakula resigned because they are factors and the PF would shake.”

Mr Bwalya said PF has systems in place which Mr Sampa should have used to deliver his letter of resignation to President Lungu and the party secretariat instead of using his Facebook page.

“We are not going to call a press conference if it is true he has resigned and I must apologise in advance if what I am going to say about him turns out that he has not resigned,” Mr Bwalya said.

He said the PF is bigger than Mr Sampa and it is not right for him to claim that his efforts to unite the party have failed.

Mr Bwalya said the PF has channels which members should follow to air grievances and that this is why he does not believe that Mr Sampa is the author of the letter posted on his Facebook page because it has contents which are not correct.

He said the PF will wait for an official letter of resignation from Mr Sampa and it will only make a statement when the correspondence reaches the ruling party.

Mr Sampa announced his resignation from the PF on his Facebook page yesterday.

And LINDA NYONDO reports that PF Matero constituency chairperson Chrispin Kambole said Mr Sampa was disturbing the work of members in the area because of his indecision.

“We will start organising the party, let him go. Even though he reconciled with President Lungu, he has not been in touch with the grassroots in Matero,” he said.

Mr Kambole said no-one has chased Mr Sampa from the party and that it was his decision to leave.
He said the PF in Matero is not shaken and that all the structures are intact.

“Those who will go with him are people who have lost support from the grassroots in Matero and never believed in the reconciliation that President Lungu has been talking about,” Mr Kambole said.

He accused Mr Sampa of allegedly forming parallel structures which he continued to work with after members refused to elect him as president of the party in preference to President Lungu after the death of President Sata.

And Muchinga ward 24 councillor Lee Mukupa said the people of Matero are happy that Mr Sampa has resigned from the PF.

“Mr Sampa has been keeping people in suspense, we are relieved that he has decided to go,” Mr Mukupa said.
He said President Lungu’s support will not diminish because of Mr Sampa’s departure from the PF.

Mr Mukupa said President Lungu is assured that the people of Matero will vote for him this year.

And Matero constituency chairlady Godfridah Mpanza said members have been waiting for Mr Sampa’s resignation for a long time.

  1. The effective approach is to say; we regret the resignation of any member, more so a founder member like Mr. Miles Sampa. We will surely miss him as a friend who we worked with over the years, and we will also miss his contributions as a member. However, as a party, we have to move on without him, and we can only wish him well in his future endeavourers.

You have to depict maturity than hatred, vengeance and arrogance of being dismissive such as; he is not a factor, he is a finished politician, etc, which statements paint your party negatively. I waive my consultancy fee. This is pro bono.

    • Everyone who is not part of the ruling party is either not a factor or a finished politician. The strange thing is over 99 percent of citizens fall in this category. Well there you have it then folks, that is what you are in the eyes of your elected party in government, not a factor. To think that sane people could subject themselves to this mindless life by voting in such people is indeed the greatest African mystery. It does make me think that Africans are somewhat inclined to suffer, there has to be something inherent about Africans that makes them gravitate towards suffering and being abused, given a choice Africans always appear to choose slavery of one fashion or the other, this is what this is slavery under your masters, the masters that you have freely elected to load over your…

    • @ Mobile Phone Gondwe

You hit the nail on the head. Africa has yet to evolve for another 100 years. Long before the white masters left people continue to elect black masters. Not in any normal country could the likes of Sata and Lungu ever been presidents.

    • Folofolo that is the civilised way of doing it but then we are dealing with thugs. Miles has said they are violent and full of vengeance and instead of disproving this they are confirming it.

  2. What surprises me is that, some people just yap, talk so that they can be heard by their masters. ”Ncekeleko pantu I talked, I spoke” has eroded this country’ s political landscape. Almost all the cadres whom we see in the ruling PF are just thugs, bapompwe, utupondo, bakabolala. Their days are numbered.

    • @Kerry Jiri my friend all those cadres (rogues) will move to the new ruling party ? if a new party wins! The crazy thing is they will profess allegiance and defend tooth and nail or more succinctly verbosely or by violent ways (with pangas). They will even say “WE ALWAYS KNEW THAT YOU WOULD WIN” The new leaders would also encrypt them into the new DNA. Even the old regalia would be worn inside (in case they meet their vanquished leaders) to assure them next time you will win! And the circus continues…..

  3. These politicians shud not b fooling us. Let them b telling us in advance who is not a factor in their various political parties than doing so after one has resigned

  4. Ninshi imwe ba Frank failed preist Bwalya every person that doesn’t sit well with the PF is not a factor? Cadrerism at its best!
Zambia might not vote for PF this time, if Zambians don’t sit well with PF government they won’t be a factor? Lol

  5. Who is he if not a factor? Has pf disintegrated because miles has part company….Nop. There is no greater person in a team. Everyone is equal. One minus one in a team is not zero but one.( 1-1=1.). Reason is that no one is irreplaceable and no one is indispensable.
This is democracy. Not keeping featuring the same looser hoping to get different results. Thats insanity!

  6. Ba HH Techilema
Can you listen to yourself ati “Not keeping featuring the same looser hoping for different results”.So you want us to continue with PF hoping the economy will improve?Thankyou for your advice we shall remember on 11/8 not to vote for the same 1diots who have brought poverty do not listen to advice insult pipo advising them that they are bitter, choking with envy.

  7. This is just another useful Id1ot for now. When things turn sour, they will turn against him. We will see what he will do then. Look at William Banda. He is now in bed with the people he used to persecute.

  8. I just miss the calibre of people like VJ Mwaanga. The man would answer any negativity calmly and very convincingly. Not these cares who use their kidneys and emotions to defend and lie about the real situations. Awaiting Mumbi or Tayali to spew something negative over Myles resignation.

  9. Frank Bwalya has kidneys in the Head. How on earth can he say Miles is not a factor. Such are people who are making PF unpopular everyday. Come on Frank Bwalya, Get off your High horse and face reality. Miles sampa for your own information is loved by the majority youths. He is joining the rank and file of UPND. PF has honestly lost a huge chunk of matero followers. PF is getting unpopular on the copperbelt as well at the rate of melting ice. Tell us Frank where PF is gaining ground.

  10. No ba Father in every team everyone is a factor.
each and everyone has role to play in a team and it’s very Un reasonable at the sametime very unwise for you to say only H.E, JUSTICE minister and Veep can only shake the party with their resignation.
I’m PF but you shouldn’t be fooling people that INONGE WINA or NGOSA is popular than SAMPA is a very smart you man with a lot of following in PF and it is very shameful for a priest like you to stand openly in public and discredit your former team mate just because he doesn’t anymore share the same ideologies with you.
You shouldn’t even be cheating people the only man who was so popular was H.E MCS m.H.s.r.p he is the one who introduce everyone to the masses in PF we new the existence of PF and everyone in it because of SATA,Lungu…

  11. How can Simbyakula be more useful who is not even popular. Sampa has more following than Inonge & Simbyakula. Any member of the party is a factor this time. Already you have lost Masebo & Guy Scott who are more popular in their constituences. Frank you have no constituence so you are not a factor.

  12. Bwalya, jack of all trade but master of none, whether political or religious. You are instead the non-factor. You are known to rush where bread is buttered.

  13. Frank is always franking. He uses his heatt to think rather than his head. The zambians can no longer be fooled by such failures both in priesthood and civil lives. The people at large should not take Frank serious. He is just a mouth piece for other pf failu?es like him. Miled Sampa knows what is good for him and it is not for Frank to tell him ehat to tell him what to do with his decìsions and life.

  17. These guys get Kapita they say politics is a game of numbers, now they lose GBM, Lupando, Miles they say these individuals are not factors.
Why rush to radio if you are not even sure its Miles who issued the statement.

  18. ….hey guys…its not like some manager has resigned from KCM or ZESCO to accord him such sympathetic farewell as alluded to in the very first comment …this is a political arena, political battlefield and African/Zambian scenario for that matter…..

  19. Even the Zambian people are not a factor according to PF, nowonder there fools have subjected us to this economical crisis. Uno mwaka kuya bebele! Viva HH

  20. This Frank Bwalya, was he really a priest. To me he is just a boot licker with no principles. Miles Sampa’s resignation is just the beginning. Many more are coming and they will come with a big bang.

  21. I NOW TOTALLY CONVINCED THAT FRANK BWALYA HAS NO ABILITY TO REASON. EVERYTHING HE SAYS IS ABSOLUTELY LUDICROUS. OTHER THAN LUNGU NO OTHER PF MEMBER HAS A FOLLOWING LIKE MILES SAMPA. INFACT IT CAN BE ARGUED THAT MILES HAS A LARGER FOLLOWING THAN LUNGU. MILES IS YOUNG PRACTICAL AND PRAGMATIC. THIS MR BWALYA SPELLS THE END OF PF. RIGHT NOW THE ONLY PERSON WORTH LISTENING TO IN PF IS GUY SCOTT. WE ARE WATCHING TO SEE HOW MANY OF THE PF STILL HAVE A MIND OF THIER OWN. THIS IS WHEN WE SHALL DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE PHARISEES AND THE BRAVE. THOSE THAT STAY ARE WEAK COWARDS THE BRAVE WILL DO WHATS RIGHT. ITS TIME TO LET LUBGU KNOW WHO HAS THE POWER. TRUE POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE.COWARDS WILL STAY IN PF. THE BRAVE WILL WALK. PF CABINET CHECK!!!!!

  22. If someone is not a factor why wasting time on radio stations responding to them. and why do you want a non factor to write you a letter of resignation. A non factor like me posts on Facebook or LT ba Frank.

  23. Just has Father Frank Bwalya has rightfully put it Sampa is not a factor in of. Just like GBM he us falling to stand in an event of by elections in Matero is clinging on to the constituency using the constitution. He is afraid of humiliatii defeat from of. How can one WHO is factor failing becomes a factor. Let us be realistic. He was the last enemy of the party during the byelectio

  24. Who listens to this little non entity Bwalya. He has no scruples,he is full of vengeance and hatred, next he will be targeting Kambwili, while trying to position himself. You have frustrated the young man so much that you left him no option other than to resign. You are busy mutilating everything late Sata stood for whilst embracing corrupt elements.you have let down people so badly, all we ever see are new suits and lavish living.IndteD of sitting with mine owners to see how best you can mitigate against further job losses, all you ever do with Lungu is just politicking.instead of looking at how you can cushion small businesses against the tough economic conditions you are busy maligning people for your selfish reasons.there is so much suffering in the country,we never hear Ka Bwalya talk…

  25. Please can we have proper discussions and hear how we you going to create employment, how you are going to salvage our economy.Lungu can you spend more time on issues that are facing Zambians, provide the leadership.and get rid of this lousy chap called Bwalya and others like Mumbi. Assemble people irrespective of which party they belong to and let them brainstorm on how to revive the economy, put in more austerity measures and lead by example.Twanaka nefyabupuba. We are tired of abantu bachabechabe ,tubena Bwalya, nothing in his head.Kanshi ba Lungu what do you see in such people

  26. The 50 percent plus 1 is here that’s why it does not make sense for minions like Sampa forming parties at this time. Sampa expects to be president of Zambia in 7 months time? Will he be a man without MPs? How long did it take Sata to make president of Zambia? And not to berate Sampa alone, I honestly do not believe people like Nawakwi, Miyanda, Msoni, Mulongoti, Sakala, Sondashi, Muliokela, Nevers and the other un mentionables have a chance of forming government. Chipimo is the only wise one who saw it early not to waste anyone’s time in this forthcoming election. Infact for me this is the time some parties need to be announcing mergers. Why wait until after the elections to start talking about working together? Not just merge now? I would love to see three strong parties compete in this…

  27. Foolish Bwalya ,whenever you open your mouth I want to puke.you are so full of emptiness.your end is soon.you are going nowhere, you will soon be flushed out .just continue eating and drinking and let’s hope you are saving some money. Wekapuba we. Who are you to tell people that this and that one is not a factor, what record do you have. Lupando and Sampa are far more respectable than you.stop making Lungu unpopular,we are already struggling to convince people to vote for him.u
