LIVINGSTONE was yesterday hit with a fuel shortage with many vehicles lining up at Engen Filling station to buy the commodity.
Vuma, Kobil and Total filling stations did not have the commodity by press time yesterday in the morning.
Mubiana Mubita, a motorist complained his business as a taxi driver was affected due to fuel shortage.
Mr Mubita appealed to the relevant authorities to address the matter to safeguard many businesses.
“This is really killing us because as you know this where we also sustain our livelihood,” he said.
Geoffrey chileshe, also a taxi driver, expressed concern at the short fall of the commodity as it had affected not only their business but also that of people who depended on fuel to run other small
businesses.
Engen Filing station manager Ernest sinyangwe said his company had 21,000 litres of petrol as of Monday and 3,000 litres of diesel of which 50 per cent was sold as of yesterday.
Mr Sinyangwe said the station was likely run out stock due to high demand of the commodity which was as a result of non availability of the commodity.
He appealed to the Government to check ensure that it checks the supply chain of fuel so that people were not put in a panic mood.

This is global, in the face of global oversupply of crude oil. PF is a classic govt with classic excuses.
As if one needed further proof of PF’s Pathetic Failure to manage the economy. Zambia is a failed state.
