Power and Buffaloes face-off in Charity Shield final

The first silverware in the new season is at stake as Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes clash in the final of the Samuel “Zoom” Ndhlovu Charity Shield at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on Wednesday.

Power reached the final after eliminating holders Zesco United in last month’s semi-finals while, Buffaloes saw off Zanaco at the same stage.

“We are ready for the final. We have worked on scoring,” Green Buffaloes trainer Bilton Musonda said.

Power midfielder Kelvin Mubanga said:”We will try hard to win this year’s Charity Shield.”

This final will be a warm up for the two sides respective opening Super Division matches.

Power will host Napsa Stars in their Week One tie on Sunday with Buffaloes travelling to Green Eagles.
