THE hate propaganda against the Patriotic Front (PF) has reached pervasive levels with the latest campaign being the recent ritual murders where bodies of victims are covered with Chitenge materials of the ruling party, Jean Kapata has charged.
Ms Kapata, who is PF elections chairperson, said investigations into the ritual murders in Lusaka should be extended to the opposition political parties that had continued disparaging the ruling party and propagating hate messages against President Edgar Lungu.
Ms Kapata said it had become critical that the police should cast their investigations wider to include the notorious cartel that almost usurped State power during the reign of late president Michael Sata and now aggressively fighting President Lungu for refusing to be colonised.
She said in an interview that the macabre killings in the last two weeks were allegedly being perpetrated by some opposition political parties which believed that they would only win the August 11 general elections by demonising the PF and President Lungu.
Ms Kapata said it was the worst form of propaganda to commit murder and cover the corpse with PF campaign material in an attempt to invoke anger among citizens so that they could rise against the ruling party.
She explained that the ritual killings had become a campaign tool for some opposition political parties and it was therefore imperative for State investigative wings to extend their probe to such political organisations.
Ms Kapata said that no criminal would commit a crime and leave evidence at the scene of crime or leave a PF Chitenge material at the scene.
“The ritual murders in Lusaka are linked to politics and we now know that the propaganda against the PF has reached levels where citizens are being ritually murdered and some opposition political parties are blaming the PF. I want to appeal to the police and other State investigating wings to extend their probe to opposition political parties that have continued with their hate messages against the PF and President Lungu.
‘‘Criminals always cover their tracks but with the recent ritual murders, they have committed murder and used the PF Chitenge material to cover the corpses,” Ms Kapata said.
Ms Kapata said Zambia was a Christian nation and it was against God’s teachings to engage in heinous crimes such as the ritual murders the country had witnessed in the recent past.
She said the ritual killings should be stopped and that those involved should be hunted down so that they could face the wrath of the law.
I can imagine how real cops investigating these murders must be feeling frustrated amidst all this interference from politicians.
When we say there’s only one president at a time and he oe must be seen to be in charge, this what we mean. What’s the president doing? This guy is such a loser!

Sad that we`ve people like this woman as leaders in Zambia. People are being murdered in a horrible way and all she is concerned about is her political interests. She is so heartless.
Everybody knows that it is people afraid of losing power that have gone on rampage killing others as a sacrifice to their gods. No story telling will change the masses mind to change government.
People seem not buy the story that one body was covered in Pf regalia, this is the tragedy of a nation where everyone feels they have a right to rule at all costs. What a shame!

Mrs Kapata. Those dead innocent people had families that cherished and depended on them. Please leave this blame thing. Politics aside let the police work professionally and cage the bandits. Talk about real issues and if you have evidence on who this murderers are please alert the police. If they had covered the people in PF chitenges is that not good to get forensic evidence for the people behind the killings instead of blaming the opposition? Ms Kapata you are a real f00l. These ritual murders could be the work of PF too. The police arrested some people, why can’t we know the truth thru the corrupt PF police or the courts of law?

If that is the case then the police should also include the ruling party in their investigations. If we go by Jean Kapata’s shallow reasoning, it is only members who have access to PF chitenge material. So the police must not look beyond PF.

These ritual killing will continue because they are politically connected,according to our reliable source. The covering of those corpses with the PF material is sign that PF will dorminate such an area with massive votes,this is according to their south African Sangoma’s. This will cocontinue in all their once strong hoods. May God have mercy for Zambia.
It does make sense that no murderer would leave behind evidence which points at themselves.

Why has govt allowed the industry which needs raw materials of human parts from ritual killings to flourish in this country? Where do you expect them to get raw materials from if you have allowed them to practice openly from wherever including markets? Practicing licenses I issued any even for foreigners, you think they will have a heart for people. Which doctors are all over practising openly and even advertising in govt newspapers which are fully sponsored by the tax payers’ money are not desperate for such money unlike the private media which is struggling. Jean Kapata is childish. How do you judge by just PF campaign material wraped on the victim and suppose it was a party regalia from UPND or other opposition parties the opposition leaders would have been in police cells. HH 2016
