The FDD has cautioned students at the University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University against voting for the PF because they will withdraw their meal allowances once they have a fresh mandate.

Commenting on government’s U-turn on the withdraw of meal allowances for students at the two universities FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza said the PF were trying to hoodwink students so that they can vote for them and later withdraw the allowance when voted for.

He said it is up to the students to either choose to be lied to or vote the PF out of office so that they put a government that has their interests at heart.

He said it is desperation which has made the PF government to reinstate the allowances for the students after realising that their decision would cost them votes on 11th August.

And Mr Mwanza said the policy inconsistency of the PF government was worrying stakeholders in the country.

Mr Mwanza explained that it was difficult to plan in the PF government as they have continued to shift from one policy to another something he said was contributing to the high cost of living being experienced in the country

    • Calling Antonio Mwanza and Harry Kalaba to join the UPND team before the door closes. It is of no use to allow brilliant minds to sink with the PF titanic on August 11.

    • KAINGU HAS PROBABLY CONSIDERED HAVING THE TWO INSTITUTIINS CLOSED PERMANENTLY. IT IS A KNOWN FACT THAT KAINGU WANTS THE PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES TO PLAY A MORE PROMINENT ROLE IN HIGHER EDUCATION. THERE IS EVEN TALK OF HAVING A CHINESE FIRM TAKE OVER RUNNING UNZA AND CBU AND CHARGING GOVERNMENT MORE IN STUDENT LOANS THEN HAVE THESE STUDENTS OWING GOVERNMENT FOR LIFE. SOME PEOPLE ARE OPENING CATERING BUSINESSES JUST SO THEY CAN BE AWARDED CONTRACTS OF SUPPLYING FOOD TO UNZA AND CBU AT HUGE PROFITS.
UNZA AND CBU STUDENTS AND FACULTY
      UNO MWAKA VOTE WISE
      OTHERWISE YOU WILL STARVE! !!!

    • Can’t wait to see Frank Bwalya, Sunday Chanda, Kennedy Kamba, Bowman Lusambo & (you guessed right) Antonio Mwanza on the same podium doing a Jameson.
In the meantime Edith Nawakwi will be dancing the whole night with Boko Haram Chama.
Wow talk of not wanting alliances!

  3. It remains to be seen whether students can fall for a stup!d donchi kubeba like this one. Even if these students are afflicted by a chronic case of dementia it’s just impossible to forget the insults PF and Kaingu heaped on them, the future of Zambia. Get that allowance, it’s legally yours paid for by Zambians. Don’t let them dupe you into thinking they are doing you a favour. Get rid of them on 11/8/16 with your secret vote.

  4. what experience does Mwanza have in running a HOME or a unit in the company??? I think he has ZERO, so his talk is naïve because if he had a child born of him he cant encourage lawlessness as he is doing now. We as parents who have children understand what the government was trying to do and we supported it coz we don’t send our children to the university to be clowns and damage people’s property. This is the reason why very few voices from disgruntled chaps like Mwanza were heard supporting the students. All the parents were appealed by the students behavior and we couldn’t lobby govt coz were trying to pump senses in these boys and girls. If anything, WHO will remain a student for mwanza to claim that govt will withdraw the BC as if these guys at varsity will depend forever on the…

  6. SINKAMBA WISDOM – Mwanza Antonio, is speaking sense but what is surprising is that Mwanza is leaving in past. The same PF is talking against is the same party president Nawakwi Zewelanji Edith has signed an accord with them. So Mwanza you may mean well but your boss has already been swallowed by Pf. As things stand now you are part of violence. For your just joining pf to consolidate their violence on innocent citizens. Its a pity FDD may be talking sense in day time but the same fdd cutting deals in the night with the same pf they talk of, during the day. No principles. To day you condemn pf tomorrow you go in bed with the same violent party, where is integrity?. Mwanza, know that very soon you will be taught on how to walk with pangas in the central street of Lusaka. As long as your…

  7. Mwanza mwaice, tula bola panshi. The system doesnt work like that. Just accept that President Lungu is a listening father of the nation and just like a prodigal son, the father welcomed him back after being remorseful.
Please lets work to build our country instead of just being bitter.
By the way, my assessment is that Zambians have already resolved to renew President Lungu’s mandate based on how he has managed to handle the affairs of the nation in very trying times. Now you will see how Zambia will accelerate in development as things start stabilizing. More investors and economic development is on its way.
Thanks to PF and its top leadership.

  9. PF has shown a lot of inconsistencies through and through. It’s clear that they are very desperate and it shows. The real situation will be seen after the elections. What has been witnessed in recent times is a quick fix. UNZA opened quickly, the Kwacha recovering dramatically. I am sure we’ll see more miracles in the run up to the elections.
