The fundraising committee of the Patriotic Front (PF) in Lusaka Province has budgeted for K5 million meant to support
all the constituencies during the 2016 general elections.

Vice President Inonge Winga said the budgeted funds will be purely used for promoting peaceful elections.

Mrs. Wina noted that this was a demonstration that the PF, which is the ruling party, was once again taking a lead in standing for peace.

She said this in a speech read for her by the Deputy Minister in her office, Lawrence Sichalwe at the PF provincial fundraising cocktail
Saturday evening in Lusaka.

She said the provincial leadership initiative to have the fundraising dinner is a testimony that the party has walked the talk.

Ms. Wina has since called upon all political party leaders in the community to preach peace to their cadres and avoid the temptation of
hatred.

She said events of the last few weeks must not blind the ruling party from its mandate of develop and protect the country.

Ms. Wina said President Edgar Lungu has continued to demonstrate great resilience in promoting peace hence the need to support him.

The Vice President said the future of Zambia was in the hands of Zambians themselves noting that now is the time that everyone must
rise and defend the call for unity.

And speaking earlier, fundraising committee chairperson Daniel Chisenga said the PF is a peaceful party which strives to walk the
talk.

  1. Lying through you teeth old lady. Violence increased since you came into power and little has been done to discipline and arrest your cadres as they are now in charge of the police. Your big boss is also busy preaching hatred and tribalism as we speak.

  2. Madam. I have lost all respect for you and do not try touch dirty money or tax payer because you will be the oldest woman to go to prison. Can you provide full detail of the sources those funds?

  3. Or be careful with Lungu and team. 5 million is a lot of money to raise in 2 months so chances are this will be looted funds. Cocktails and braiis do not raise that kind of money so don’t cheat people to try look like a transparent party. I just hope you know what you have gotten yourself into

  4. BO INONGE, LEAVE WITH SOME DIGNITY PLEASE. FUND RAISE FROM WHERE? WE KNOW HOW YOU PEOPLE ARE GETTING MONEY AND HOPE THAT LATER ON YOU CAN ACCOUNT FOR ALL MONIES SQUANDERED DURING YOUR REIGN.

  5. Kanshi whats wrong with oposition? I think PF is just too sophisticated for you. Too me all those condeming PF’s creativeness have never attended a fundraising event. Not only are tickets for entry sold, they are raffles and other sources of raising funds such as auction sales and sponsors so stop being lazy and start being creative ba oposition. Stop winning yaba… we are fed up!
