Konkola Blades maintain lead in Div 1

Konkola Blades maintained their stay at the top of the FAZ Division One Zone Two table after thumping Chambishi 3-1 at the weekend.

Forward Joseph Kanema scored a brace with Kunda Kabila scoring the other goal as Konkola won this Week 11 tie at Chambishi Stadium.

The win pushed the Chililabombwe side to 23 points from 10 games played.

Ndola side Gomes Wanderers stayed second on the table after a 1-1 draw with Roan United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Gomes are now sitting on 19 points, while 7th placed Roan have 16 points.

Kitwe United dropped from second to fourth position after suffering a shocking 1-0 loss at Chingola Police Leopards.

The Buchi Boys have 18 points after ten games.
