Ruling PF National Youth Chairman Steven Kampyongo has warned UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema not to dare the PF youths over political violence.

Mr Kampyongo who is also Local Government Minister said Mr Hichilema’s statement in Mpika yesterday accusing him of having master minded the Shiwangandu attacks on the UPND team is provocative.

He said the PF youths can easily crush any attacks from the UPNF because it has a large membership compared to the opposition party.

“Let Mr Hichilema not dare me, we are too many for them, they are just a small party and we can easily crush them if they dare us,” Mr Kampyongo told a news briefing as party youths cheered him on.

Mr Kampyongo denied accusations that he was behind the attacks on the UPND campaign team.

Mr Kampyongo is immediate past Member of Parliament for Shiwangandu said it was unfair for Mr Hichilema to point him out as having orchestrated the attacks on the UPND campaign team.

He said the UPND easily attracts violence because the party is provocative in its nature.

“Just look at their colour Red. They are so much in love with blood. Everything about them is Red because they like blood,” he said.

Mr Kampyongo alleged that Mr Hichilema has picked up on what he called the savage language associated with his running mate Geoffrey Mwamba.

“Ever since Mr Hichilema started hanging around with GBM, his language has changed. He is now using the savage language which he has copied from GBM.”

He appealed to PF youths not to react to any provocation from the UPND saying the party does not want to shed any blood.

UPND campaigns in Shiwangandu were disrupt after PF cadres violently attacked the UPND team and threw stones and other missiles at a UPND helicopter in an attempt to force it not to land.

    • KAMPYONGO YOU ARE SUCH AN IMBECILE! YOUR BRAIN IS FULL OF WATER. EVERYONE IS POINTING AT PF TO HAVE STARTED THE VIOLENCE AT SHIWANG’ANDU. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT PF BEING THE AGGRESSORS HERE, AND UPND IS RESPONDING IN SELF DEFENSE. THIS FOOL IS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO IS USING PROVOCATIVE LANGUAGE. HOW DARE HE SAYS THEY WILL CRUSH UPND! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS? PF IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO ARE PRETENDING TO BE HUMBLE, YET THEY ARE DANGEROUS MURDERERS! LUNGU AND HIS MINIONS ARE ALL MURDERERS. KAMPYONGO WE SHALL SOUGHT YOU OUT ONCE WE EFFECT CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT ON AUGUST 11. AND WE KNOW THAT LUNGU IS VERY MUCH HAPPY WITH YOUR DANGEROUS THREATS FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST ZAMBIANS IN THE OPPOSITION UPND PARTY. ABSH LUNGU. ABASH PF LOOTERS AND NOW MURDERERS!

    • Kampongo and you are a minister in a government. In serious governments a true leader would have shown you the door, but in the PF government you are shown the center chair in the meeting room. What a shame that our taxes are used to pay people like Kampyongo. What a sad development.

    • Yes, the savage language is called Bemba. Bembas only understand insults and violence. You never see this type of behaviour of trying to crash a helicopter except in Northern Zambia.

    • Crash this, crash that, like a tonne of bricks, carrying big sticks, small body big engine, blaha blah blah. That is all they have to provide apart from hunger.

    • With all the doubts and misgivings that I have about justice emanating out of the International Criminal Court,(ICC) because that court seems to only target Africans and in reverse, only African dictators invoke that court against the opposition, it looks likely that that court may have a role to play in Post-election Zambia because of the violence that may accompany this important election. The perpetrators of the violence are known by name by many authorities including the police, intelligence, army, the President, the media, the opposition and many individuals. There is photographic evidence as well.
Thus when the case or if the case gets to the ICC, there will be no problem of evidence.

  1. Please Kapyongo are you saying you don’t want any comment about cadres burning rally ground and throwing stones at helicopters. why are you threating violence on top of violence. I only hope the Zambia people can see you behaviour. Pray you win my friend and I hop you do because if you don’t you will learn how to use a news paper for tissue like you old days. No very long ago. Lol

  2. Mr. Kampyongo u are still Youngman don’t promote ancient politics. Remember power corrupts but it is all temporal and vanity. Lets avoid violence because we are all one people in the ears of God. And God does not tolerate violence. The bible says it is appointed for one to die one day and thereafter face judgment or our creator

    • By who? Lungu and his PF police force?

The same person that denounces violence in public and then secretly encourages them?

It is never going to happen while this desperate drunkard is in state house.

He is too eager to keep on stealing Zambian taxpayers money to add to his K23 million.

And he does not care if he destroys Zambia to do it. MUGABE has shown him how.

    • What is mighty about violence, poverty, super inflations, low liquidity in the economy, corruption, failure to pay civil servants salaries in time, spending taxes pays money on campaign materials and promoting tribalism/regional politics.

    • Imagine blaming Kampyongo for something which happened hundreds of miles away and fail to blame the local PF leadership. Its as if we human beings are witches and wizards who have a cctvs in our bedrooms and we are able to see everything going on everywhere! Ubukopo bwafulisha mu Zambia na ba UPND!

    • Bang bang

So on your logic if one province in zambia suffers massive joblessness and hunger, central goverment in lusaka is not to blame ??

  3. Kampyongo prison is calling you.Soon you will be someone’s wife and you will be using the Post newspaper to wipe your…….

  4. This Kampyongo fellow is very uncivilized. How does a normal person who calls himself a leader openly promote violence like that. This is unacceptable. And the drunkard in his stoop is there watching!

  5. Over zealous Kampyongo time will catch up with you quite soon, do not think you will be MP for life.

  6. KAMPYONGO YOU ARE SUCH A COCKROACH! YOUR BRAIN IS FULL OF WATER. EVERYONE IS POINTING AT PF TO HAVE STARTED THE VIOLENCE AT SHIWANG’ANDU. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT PF BEING THE AGGRESSORS HERE, AND UPND IS RESPONDING IN SELF DEFENSE. THIS EMPTY TIN IS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO IS USING PROVOCATIVE LANGUAGE. HOW DARE HE SAYS THEY WILL CRUSH UPND! YOU GUYS HAVE STOLEN A LOT OF PUBLIC MONEY…

  7. No! No! No what happened in Shiwan’gandu should not be justified by anyone regardless of the political parties and their arrogance of numbers, especially considering that it is the second time of happening. If anything Kampyongo should be embarrassed by such happenings in his own constituency. For once be a minister for Zambians regardless of political affiliations. …. that is what it means to be leader, grow out of your partisan politics and condemn perpetrators of violence including the PF thugs

  8. Is this person normal? How can he start threating the opposition the pf attacked instead of condemning to what pf did he is issuing threats pf can’t u see that u ar decampaighing yeself?

  9. My Country, the land of peace and unity, the land that has served as a place of refuge for our neibouring countries and beyond. My motherland where are you heading to? Why are brothers fighting brothers, sisters callining sisters by all sorts of names. Where are the leaders chosen by the people as custodians of peace? Why can’t they stop this fire which is engulfing my beloved country?
I pray for peace and unity, pray for love and peace and most of all tolerance for one another. Please God save Zambia.

  10. From most comments here I can tell a lot of Zambians are good people who don’t want violence. That is the Zambia I have always known. Stay peaceful Zambians. Violent ones will soon realise they have no place in this country.

  11. Very funny thinking by the projectile throwing youth there. When you throw a projectile at a flying thing the intent, implicit or not, is to bring it down, not to prevent it from coming down. What dorks! I have never seen. We are counting these unfortunate incidents after the raid on an airport apron not too long ago.

    • This hapless Minister goes on to attack colors and dare unleashing his murder of crows but COMPLETELY ignores that this incident happened in his constituency and offers NO NOTE of concern for this very dangerous behavior whether or not it was perpetrated by his wake of vultures! What a dork!

  12. Kapyongo or is it Kapongo, be careful what you wish for. You look youthful and you could end your life in the Hague my friend. Do not be too excited. you are just one simple person and you could be lonely very soon Just to help you reflect your life…

  13. I feel for kampyongo and my fellow youths dont be used in such a way.i can imagine someone telling you to stone a chopper, what if those in the chopper reacted with guns.careful guys coz in other countries u would have been history.

  14. Yes we Can crash upnd in a minute .your gbm started it in kitwe.and You also demolised pf office in matero now its a Pay back time.becareful.

    • Do we need to prove anything you dimwit? Real minds will not need proof to see your popularity. Simply go and vote on 11.08.16 to make us prove. We are not interested in fighting. We have better things to do than spend energy on hooliganism.

      PF syndrome……..a shame.

  15. This man is not normal. Why saying UPND is small. Dear Minister by what margin did you win last year’s elections you are really scared of us. Wapya aleisa. Why hire cadres to bring down the Helicopter if UPND is a small party. Foolish minister. Your face can even tell that you are a fool.

  16. Kapiyanga should be locked up once PF leave office. This is another reason to vote PF out. The man is full of evil.

  17. Now I understand why Kaunda formed the one party state. Nkumbula’s ANC was constantly fighting with UNIP worsened by UPP. the infighting were so rife that they decided in 1972 to have a one party participatory democracy. I remember Candidates competed for votes on the same platform on one party ticket. I only hoped the presidency was also open and not standing against a frog. That was really democracy and people never fought. Alas, now with open democracy. Party, Party aspects has destroyed us. What happened in Shiwanga’ndu is a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. So totally disappointed with this Steve! Please Kampyongo, remember your humble days when you were as ordinary as any Zambian struggling to earn a living. Reflect and think properly that the only thing Zambians want to be fighting with is poverty not with fellow citizens! We shall never allow anybody to bring war on us for their selfish reasons! It is a great disappointment that instead of providing leadership and denouncing violence ou are fanning it! I would urge you to find time to reflect on what you have said and then find time to go and counsel your youths on violence. If GBM has threatened violence as you claim you need only to show leadership by even advising him the civil way to do things- that is the only way we can tell the difference between the two of you. Not what you have…

  19. Am disappointed with ECL the humble man that never act. This man has failed us because people are actually undermining his authority. A good leader would have disciplined this chap. Anyway, fili oko tuleya.

  20. And this coming from a minister, totally unacceptable.
This kind of language is reminiscent of wars of independence in countries like Zimbabwe and SA not our zambia.

This just goes to show undecided voters the caliber of ministers in a PF lead GRZ.
IF you care for the future of your country vote these thugs out.

  21. Truly, the situation sounds odd considering the fact that the Head of State has made no comment over the barbaric act of terrorism that happened at Shiwang’andu some few days ago. To make matters worse, the PF media houses are busy reporting the opposite of what exactly took place there. In whichever way one may try to explore this issue, there is 100% evidence that the President and his ministers have got a hand in it because after all, even if HH and GBM were to lose their lives today, it would work to their advantage as they are their only threat in this presidential race. But the scenario MUST change because nobody could grace loss of life/lives in this regard simply because of an election. This matter shall be taken up and if need be as far as the international criminal court as…

  22. Kamfyono, ipala ilyo tukalibeya more kwibotolo, ne fimenso kwati ulecita drown. Amenso yafwile ukuba stable not pya pya pya kwati ni kalukuluku.

  23. From selling Moloshi and changing money in Livingstone to Minister..this response is not surprising. Bakopo ba Kampyongo. Instead of preaching peace he is telling us how violent his party members are. Edgar says the same thing. Wake up Zambia and put your vote on responsible people with traceable references and not rifruffs like this foolishly excited clueless chap who want to set this country ablaze for the sake of positions..shame on you ..

  24. Sinkamba Wisdom – Kampyongo , you are luck because Zambian is a land of peaceful cowards. In other countries you should seen what it takes threatening the lives of opposition leaders. But remember, not to provoke the peaceful cowards any further. Once the peaceful cowards react, you will not like it. See and remember what happened in Lusaka recently over ritual killings. Remember that President HH and Vice president GBM are national leaders. The membership for UPND as we speak today has out numbered pf thugs.
Zambians are known to be peaceful cowards but the times are changing. Remember the uprisings in Libya and Tunisia. Col. Gaddaffi was a strong leader and had a strong team. Ask yourself , where are they today? We ask you are peaceful cowards to sober up and do Zambia the right thing…
