Some members of the National Executive Committee of the United Democratic Front has defected to the PF.
Leading the defection, Former UDF Central Province Chairperson Adora Phiri said the decision was reached after major consultations in all provinces.
And former UDF Copperbelt Province deputy chairman Robert Mtonga cited failure by party president Miles Sampa to consult his members on the alliance with UPND.
And UDF National Youth Chairperson Kingsley Chinyama said the decision to go to PF has been received well by UDF members.
And receiving the defectors, PF Deputy Election Chairperson Kelvin Bwalya said the ruling party has space for people who want to be part of the development agenda.
Mr. Bwalya said the PF in all structures will welcome any person who supports President Edgar Lungu.
He said the party is growing and people are appreciating its manifesto and vision for Zambia.
