Green Eagles sign Boniface Sunzu

FAZ Super Division side Green Eagles have signed former Konkola Blades defender Boniface Sunzu on a permanent deal.

Sunzu moves from his parent club Konkola to Eagles less than a month After being released by Napsa Stars.

His contract is indefinite after agreeing to be engaged as a Zambia National Service officer as well.

Sunzu, the younger brother to Chipolopolo star Stoppila, is one of the four players Eagles have captured in the mid-season transfer window.

Eagles have also signed striker Greenwell Witika from Ndola United, winger Lazarous Phiri from Lumwana Radiants and Nakambala Leopards’ Tindi Mwape.

Club chairman Lieutenant Col Jim Kafumukache hopes the four players will help struggling Eagles to survive relegation.

“The bottom is not our portion,” he said.

Eagles are 14th on the 18-team table with 18 points from 19 games played.
