Mukosha pays tribute to Norman Munthali

Ex-Power Dynamos defender Ronald Mukosha has paid tribute to his former Arthur Davies teammate Norman Munthali who was put to rest on Saturday in Lusaka.

Munthali, a former Zambia Under-23 midfielder died on Thursday aged 33 in Kitwe after an illness.

He was put to rest at his grandfather’s farm located in a place called Ten Miles.

In an interview in Kitwe, Mukosha described the death of Munthali as devastating.

“I am so devastated by the death of our beloved one Norman Munthali,” he said.

“Norman arrived at Power during my final years at Arthur Davies but we related very well. He was good, disciplined and talked less,” Mukosha said.

The midfielder made his name at Power Dynamos following his move from the defunct Coca Cola FC in 2001 after making an initial impact with the Zambia Under-20 team.

“Norman had the potential to achieve more than he did in his career,” Mukosha said

He was playing for FAZ Division One Zone Two side Indeni who he joined from National Assemby in 2014.

Munthali was part of the Peter Kaumba coached Under-23 Team that played in the Beijing 2008 Olympics qualifiers.
