katangaSome Grade 9 examination question papers that were destined for Solwezi have gone missing in Chingola.

The papers were being ferried in a containerized vehicle to Solwezi for the November 2016 junior secondary examinations.

Copperbelt Police Chief Charity Katanga confirmed the development saying the criminals broke into the vehicle while in motion at the place called Mushishima in Chingola and stole the carton boxes.

She said the area were the incident occurred has a lot of pot holes which gave the thieves ample time to break into the containers.

“When vehicles slow down thieves jump on the trucks and steal the goods. This is the same point at which the Grade 9 English exams question papers were stolen from.

“A pass by found one carton box sealed and five packs were opened. So far we have not ascertained the number of carton boxes that were stolen because they were destined for Solwezi. The Education Council of Zambia officers from Lusaka have already come in Chingola with a view to ascertain the stolen papers. They want to know how many were received in Solwezi and compare with what was dispatched,” she said.

She further explained that the criminals thought it was food that was in the containerized vehicle thereby breaking into it.

She has since said that investigations into the matter had since been instituted.

Source at DABS office in Chingola said the people transporting the Grade 9 exams question papers ignored given instructions not to move at night for security reasons.

    • I remember when I was in grade 5, because i was this much intelligent I was asked to go to grade 7, where I for 689 which was the highest at the time in the copper-belt

People, I am not showing off, but I got 24 points in grade 12 and easily passed to go to grade 10 (388 points) and thus I consider myself a genius

I am surprised how easy it is mow grade 8’s and all these silly trucks missing all pointing to leakages I left when i left Zambia considering I have gone on to be doing my PhD?

Good luck to them all, but remember I did hold the torch once, and led the way. Who ever is holding the torch now, I am happy for them.

      Thanks

    • Its an inside job within DEBS. Chingola-Solwezi road is a very busy road and good of different kin move to and from without any such incidences happening. No wonder they ignored the instructions that were given to them. Cage the chaps and they will explain how the whole saga was arranged.

    • So they thought it was food, huh? It’s gonna get worse then. Remember, Zambia has been declared the third hungriest nation in the world. Better have hundreds of cops accompany these trucks when transporting anything that looks like food. And maybe have a food truck follow closely behind to distribute some food. People are hungry.

    • It was meant to stop the North westerners from writing the Zambian Exams. Their exam papers will be sent from Barotseland set by the ECB. (Examination Council of Barotseland).

    • THAT IS ZAMBIA FOR YOU UNDER VISIONLESS KAMINAMINSA’S SELF-IMPOSED LEADERSHIP. IF BALLOT PAPERS CAN GO MISSING IN ZAMBIA, WHAT MORE WITH EXAMINATION PAPERS?

    • @mushota i never saw a day i would agree with u but of late you have been so objective and humuorous i like this new new you haha

  1. So far we have not ascertained the number of carton boxes that were stolen because they were destined for Solwezi.

Meaning everything destined for Solwezi cannot be ascertained.

    Ba Katanga kaganizidwe

  2. If you can steal votes, how can they fail to steal exam papers? It is a country of thieves masquerading as a Christian nation. You are used

  3. And yet the some same people commenting here complained about the Infrastructure programme to repair roads! Pot holes must be eradicated!

On a more serious note, @Mushota writes quite:-) ‘People, I am not showing off, but I got 24 points in grade 12 and easily passed to go to grade 10 (388 points) and thus I consider myself a genius’ end quote. Mmmmmmm genius, how come you passed at grade 12 to go back to grade 10?! Which direction were you traveling? !

    • @HH Techilema, man, you need some mouthwash, if you speak this way in person too. How would you like someone to say that about your sister? Most likely she’s a young woman, but she still needs to be respected. Lucky for you, you’re PF. So just go to your Minister of Religion and have her pray over you.

  4. I thought the ideal situation in this case is to quickly withdraw the papers from circulation and print different papers altogether. After all, every legitimate exam has a back-up paper, or am I wrong???

    • THE COUNTRY IS BROKE!!
No cash to print new papers, as all the cash went into the shoddy vote rigging exercise, & paying characters like Samuel Chavula.
The P.F government should actually make an announcement in their Corrupt Parliament, on how much taxpayers cash went into paying Chavula, who has mysteriously evaporated from this Earth, despite being in Police custody, where surely if Zambia were a functioning state, there would be a Docket on Chagwa’s saviour, Chavula.

  5. IT IS THE MODEM STYLE OF PF LEADERSHIP. PRESIDING OFFICERS (TEACHERS IN MAJORITY), ECZ, JUDGES AND POLICE AGENTS WERE AND WE SAW HOW THEY WERE TAUGHT HOW TO ROB BALLOTS FOR PRESIDENT. WHOM DO YOU WANT TO TEASE? THIS IS THE LEADERSHIP PF ARE ENCOURAGING.
GOD WILL NEVER BLESS THIS COUNTRY AS LONG AS PEOPLE IN LEADERSHIP HAVE BAD MORALS. 2CHRONICAL 7:13-15.
TOMORROW WE SHALL HEAR A BIG SCANDAL THE STATE HOUSE, BANK OF ZAMBIA HAVE SHIFTED TO MATERO.

  6. Yangu BaMushota! Those are low marks. It explains your lower calibre contributions on this blog. This is the last comment on you from me. Thanks for the insight.

    • Bitterness mwana will cause you to be making such mistakes. You are lucky it’s on LT because no one takes you seriously here. Try that in final exam you ‘ll fail. Just look at the marks ntomba ndeya @mushota used to get. I can understand if that was in the 50s not from 19th century. Explains why Upnd kants fails to understand simple issues.

  7. PF HAS TAUGHT MANY PEOPLE BUSAKALANYONGO AND VERY SOON ZAMBIA WILL BE NOT BE IDEAL FOR GOOD BUSINESS. I WISH I WAS FOLLOWING THIS TRUCK BEHIND IT I WOULD HAVE REPORTED THEM TO MYSELF AND PUT THEM UNDER ARREST

  8. It’s foolish to bring the name of the president in this nonsense. If you’re going to be negative all the time you ‘d better stick to ZWD. From your attitude I can conclude you used leakage to pass your exams. This problem has been with us for a long and instead of giving sober solutions you want to insult the president. Can the president monitor everything when you who are on the crime scene are just watching or even partaking in it?

  9. These things happen. I remember when I was at Malemba primary in Chingola a truck bringing books to schools was I hijacked and all books and other materials were found thrown all over the bushes.

  10. They thought its food, wait for a year and you will see the worst food riot where the police and the Zambia army will also be active participants fasten your belts because the 2016 most incompetent and 1oditic president of the millenium Edgar Chakolwa Kaloba Wrungu leads us into the worst poverty ever experienced on Earth

  11. @21 Lutuku continue dreaming. This not out of the normal. You think this “simple ” will win you votes. 2021 we will know how vote and instead of the 100thousands you got you’ll get zero. If in more developed countries this can happen, what more about zambia?

  12. JAMESON NA VODKA WHY:

Insulting the Presidency( Office ) will never solve any challenge we are facing as a Country.Kindly sober up and be real respective Zambians we know. These insults of calling the President Names started way back in 2015 to date you have continued. In Tanzania and Kenya 2 Citizens were arrested and charged for defaming the President on Face book but here in Zambia is the water you Drink please stop and respect the Presidency. When you are followed and arrested you still want to cry foul………..just be real and let us all support the government of the day and move the country forward.
