    • QUOTE: “Former Mafinga MP Catherine Matibini was also unopposed for the position of First Deputy Speaker.”

Ba LT is Catherine Namugala a sister to Speaker Matibini or did she recently got married to him for you to say “former Mafinga MP CATHERINE MATIBINI”? Get serious folks!

  1. People have lost confidence in the stolen government of lungu. People don’t care because the elections in august were stolen in day light

    • Wanyala NEZ, opposition including UPND-UNPRODUCTIVE PASSION NEAR DOOM has supported the above sugeested names of able speakers.

    • Which people?
By the way why does UPND not give us a comprehensive report on all polling stations where their votes are said to have been stolen and the numbers involved.A lot of unsubstantiated noise is being made by HH and his supporters about votes having been stolen without giving evidence..

  2. How can MATIBINI, a person who failed to uphold the constitution become the custodian today?

PF is all about tu poto & access to allowances & big tenders. Its got nothing to do with solving the greatest calamity Zambia is facing: lifting the masses out of abject poverty

  3. The UPND is still in disarray. They cannot meet and even think of names to put forward for the positions. They just have to watch consumed and immobilised by their own bitterness and anger.

  4. WHO CAN TALK AND I DO NOT EXPECT THE OPPOSITION TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN PARLIAMENT BECAUSE ALL WHAT WILL BE DOING IS THAT PF WILL DO EVERYTHING AND CHEAT SAY IT IS PARLIAMENT. THEY WILL CULTIVATE AND MUTILATE THE LAW TO WITHOUT RESPECT OF THE NATION. EVEN THE TIME THEY SHALL BE OUT OF LEADERSHIP IT SHALL BE DIFFICULT TO RE-DO THE LAW. THIS IS NOT A TRUSTED LEADERSHIP FOR OUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN.

  5. Why did the MMD, UPND, FDD, Dan Pule etc not nominate ant of their MPs to those positions. What type of opposition do we have in this country.

  6. It is not even interesting to go into a contest without being challenged. This will be a useless parliament. Oposition party I would support that you do not do anything in parliament. Leave PF to do all their things the way they please.

  7. Nzelu – A normal person cannot do that. May Dan Pule or Nawakwi could have nominated himself/herself not a any serious opposition.

    • See my point though. Our opposition only shows up at election time. They don’t seem to realize that they are needed for national growth and policing those that wield power.

  8. It takes a good brain to choose three and they all are accepted by parliament. Thanks to HE Edgar C Lungu. Next please consider Carnisius Banda. Am sure he can contribute a lot towards the growth of economy when he is freed from the bondage to a party that is perpetually opposing. No one can live Banda’s life so let him do what he wants.
