Buffaloes stun Nkana

Nkana’s aspirations to win the 2016 FAZ Super Division title suffered a major set back when they succumbed to a 1-0 loss at the hands of visiting Green Buffaloes on Saturday.

Forward Jasper Masialeti scored the goal that helped Buffaloes condemn Nkana to their first defeat in nine matches.

Masialeti put the ball behind the net on 37 minutes after beating keeper Kelvin Malunga with a close range shot.

Nkana have themselves to blame for missing uncountable chances in both halves with striker Walter Bwalya being the main culprit.

Bwalya sent his 3rd minute shot wide in front of an empty net after keeper Davy Kaumbw.a had advanced forward

Bwalya further missed scoring opportunities in the 5th and 9th minutes before directing his 70th minute shot at Kaumbwa.

This win is a relief to Buffaloes who lost two straight games ahead of their trip to Wusakile.

Meanwhile, Nkana remain stuck in second place with 53 points from 27 games played.
