THERE is no complete PVT evidence by the UPND to prove that they won the last general elections, its former vice-president for political affairs Canisius Banda has disclosed.
“The truth about 2016 is that not even UPND has evidence that the UPND won the elections. The UPND’s own PVT is incomplete even as we speak. What UPND has is evidence of electoral malpractice, which if the Constitutional Court had its senses intact should have triggered a rerun.” He explained that there was no basis in terms of poll figures for the UPND to suggest that it won the August 11 presidential and general elections.
“I challenge the UPND to give you the complete PVT showing that they won the elections because they will not be able to produce it as there was none,” Dr Banda said. Mr. Banda said that in 2015, because of Hichilema’s own personal decision, without consulting the party’s NEC, he unilaterally outsourced vote protection services to a PF-infiltrated company.
“The truth about 2016 is that not even UPND has evidence that the UPND won the elections. The UPND’s own PVT is incomplete even as we speak. What UPND has is evidence of electoral malpractice, which if the Constitutional Court had its senses intact should have triggered a rerun.”
“Come to 2016, Lusaka Province is where much of the electoral fraud occurred. The protection of the votes in Lusaka Province was entrusted with one Dipak Patel, a friend of Hichilema. This task was given to Dipak by Hichilema himself. Many party officials were excluded.” Dr Banda explained.
“That is how we were conned. Ask Hichilema,” he said. Deliberately, he said, required forms were not distributed and kids were used…” and the rest is history.”
In both elections, he said, Hichilema was to blame, as an individual.
“And this was my warning to him 10 years ago; that becoming Republican President is in your destiny but should you fail it will entirely be your own fault. This has now come to pass,” he said.

Sounds like a more reasonable take on this issue than wild claims that their votes were stolen. Malpractice makes sense to me than what has been peddled that HH won by 55 % and PF stole his votes.
What difference does that make @Observer. The two are literally one and the same thing. Considering the major electoral malpractices which were used by the PF, it boils down to one and the same. The fact here is that the PF stole the UPND results putting itself to an advantage otherwise there wouldn’t be even the talk of PVT. Banda, just admit that you are a small man who is easily frightened. You got frightened by the entry of GBM and Nevers in the UPND that’s why you found solace in the very Party you were campaigning against. After all, Dipak was your junior who was answerable to you – to some extent. Leave politics to men and women made of steel. Politics is not stethoscopes.
@2.1 Sinono – Now you’re adding your own words. Who said ‘major’ malpractice? And by PF? You’re creating your own news here mate. Electoral malpractice does not necessarily trigger a re-run. And in any case, the malpractice could have been by anybody, including UPND. Like Banda says, show us the evidence you have for us to evaluate than to carry on singing about being cheated. HH lost and nothing in this universe is gonna change that fact.
That’s the reason why the election results were petitioned. ECZ and PF cannot prove the results for all Lusaka constituencies because the results forms (Gen 12 and Gen 13) were forged. They cannot be traced back to results from individual polling streams, they were never witnessed, and are completely inconsistency. This is the very reason why PF made sure that the petition was needlessly delayed and that the ConCourt should never pass a judgement.

The election results in all Lusaka constituencies were never properly concluded and results forms completed. Instead PF and ECZ produced forms that were not certified by any monitors and party agents and that did not agree with data from polling streams. That’s how the votes were stolen because the results have nothing to do with the actual votes cast. The results were manufactured so that Lungu could be declared winner without need for a rerun. That’s the fraud.

What Canicius is saying is partly true. ECZ and PF made sure that there were no valid results for any Lusaka Constituency. Valid results must be declared by the returning officer at the venue and proper forms (Gen 13 and ECZ 19 for a Constituency) filled in and witnessed. Lungu and his henchmen made sure that the petition could never be heard and concluded because of this. The UPND PVT not being properly concluded is a subsidiary issue because final results were never declared at the Lusaka venues. Instead what ECZ used were manufactured by PF to ensure a Lungu win.

The G12 form was intentionally left in lusaka pollling station as a rigging strategy by Edgar lungu and the bogus electoral commission. All the lusaka figures that were announced were cooked.
