A 26-year-old woman of Lusaka has been sentenced to five years after she was found guilty of stealing a baby.

Lusaka Magistrate Humphrey Chitalu sentenced Gift Phiri to 5 years simple imprisonment for stealing a 9-month old baby in Chawama.

Details of the offence are that on 1st October 2016, Gift did steal a baby from Charity Mwamba.

She stole the baby from the house after duping its maid when its mother had gone for work.

And in mitigation, Gift however shocked the court when she asked for leniency saying she is unable to conceive as she is barren.

Handing down the sentence, Magistrate Chitalu said the offence of stealing a child was grave and attracted a maximum of 14 years in prison.

Lusaka Chitalu has advised couples unable to conceive to consider adoption as there are law in place that protect them.

    • There’s just one fertility clinic in each home, the bedroom. The woman must be willing to get a serious dicking down. If she does not want the huffing and puffing from a sweaty man, then she is barren.

  1. THIS IS FUNNY, SOMEONE STOLE A CHICKEN AND WAS JAILED 25 YEARS IMPRISONMENT BECAUSE HE HAD A DANGEROUS WEAPON IN HIS HAND AND SOMEONE STEALING A HUMAN BABY CAUGHT AND JAILED FOR 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT.

CHICKEN OR BABY? BOTH ARE EASTERNERS.
