The aptly named Teenage Hadebe confined Zambia to a second successive defeat in Saturday’s friendly away in Harare.
The 21-year-old Chicken Inn FC defender and Kaizer Chiefs target headed-in 2017 Africa Cup finalists Zimbabwe’s winner in a 1-0 home win over Zambia at the National Stadium.
Saturdays defeat saw Wedson Nyrenda still without a win after two games in charge following a 2-1 home defeat to Nigeria in Zambia’s opening 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B qualifier in Ndola on Octiber 9.
Zambia face another 2017 AFCON finalists on Tuesday when they visit Kampala to face Uganda in their final friendly before heading to Cameroon.
Chipolopolo are using the two-match friendly series to prepare for their November 12 date against Cameroon in Limbe on match-day-two of the 2018 Group B qualifiers.
lets huck the seva and change the figures then zambia will be declaired winner over cameroon
I really don’t understand why on earth you can pay ticket for a losing coach, to a game against Cameroon. A hand picked coach just because he has name from east?
Kiki Kiki. ..very true. That is the only way to win in cameroon.
Zambia need a complete overall…one thing about the Galu years is that local technical team was never seconding the expat coaches. You let the PE tutor gain experience, polish his CV meanwhile you were left with nothing…
The million dollars from Afcon should have been invested in the future but was all chewed now we are reaping the reward.
You damn liar you! Where did Chicken George come from? He was Renard’s assistant. You look for faults in Kalu for everything that happens to Zambian football. You cant hate someone this much unless you are a devil. The Kalu years happen to be our national team’s most succesful regardless of your anus eyed viewpoints.
Some people like Jay jay always see only what they want to see. This means they will see a PE teacher in an overtly successful coach. They will see a successful FAZ in an admin whose national team has lost 99.9 percent of its matches under their reign.
Was he a full time national team coach? Nope…Galu is a crook, you think ticket racketing is something to proud of and you go and ask Nike why the pulled out their sponsorship.
I have no time for Galu bootlickers
A proper foreign is necessary. Faz withdrew their just because the President said so. Has HE Lungu ever kicked a ball? He is looking to IMF to help him manage the economy but wants faz to use local solutions which are not working for the country. Zambia has never had a mentor since HR left and that is were the challenge and gap was created. This problem not be solved in a game..it requires a consistent program of development and at the helm shud b an expert full time coach.
What a clever analogy about the foreign expats called IMF as opposed to Wedson Nyirenda
A proper foreign is necessary. Faz withdrew their intentions to hire a coach just because the President said so. Has HE Lungu ever kicked a ball? He is looking to IMF to help him manage the economy but wants faz to use local solutions which are not working for the country. wedson is not ripe enough to coach the bullets. Too much gambling pa zed.
Bring back Honour Janza
No one is building players at grassroots
No one is building sports infrastructure
Everyone is just talking
Everyone is just laughing
Everyone is now suprised and ashamed of the outcome
We are used to substandard. Wedson Nyirenda is not fit to manage our national team. Is he even a qualified Coach? He has no strong experience even as a player at national team level. We over rate players and coaches. Lets face facts and go back to the drawing board . We have other Zambians who are experienced and have coaching qualifications to take care of our team in the interim. This is a pure case of failure by the people at FAZ!!!!
Let’s not raise our hopes. Let’s not raise our blood pressure. Zambian football is dead and buried. Let’s hope for the Qatar world cup
Even during HR time he mentioned that we are bringing half backed players on the national scene, how will they perfume a classical game. FAZ should look at the academies and their coaching staff. Why do we have half backed players and yet Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Ivorry Coast etc have their own academies and their players excel in Europe. Is this not time to look at our oven and pan to see why our half backed loaves are coming out that way? If you do not have a farsighted mind at the helm of football you will continue to be satisfied even with 100% losses. Just wait!
