Chipolopolo arrive in Cameroon

Share

Zambia arrived in Cameroon early Wednesday evening ahead of Saturdays big clash there against The Indomitable Lions.

Wedson Nyirenda and his team landed in Douala at 18h00 Zambian time from Kampala via Kigali after playing Uganda in a friendly they won 1-0 away on November 8.

The team was then delayed for an hour and a half at Douala airport before making the two-hour road trip to the match venue in Limbe where they arrived just before 23h00.

Zambia face Cameroon in search of their first points in Group B in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers following their 2-1 home loss to Nigeria on October 9 in Ndola.

Cameroon are second on one point after a 1-1 away draw with Algeria on the same date.

  1. I think Zambia should start another sport not soccer, we are not good at it. Let’s play Chidunu, after all PF are already good at it. If we lose we can impose and call ourselves winners. Seriously, we need to change the stup1d name: “Chipolopolo” one way it means bullet (for which we are clearly not – neither fast not lethal) on the other it refers to balls of which we do not have as Zambians. We can’t even stand up and tell Edward that he lost and should sit down.

    • For years, our national team is second only to HIV/AIDS in killing Zambians. When one gets to the climax of the game excitement, we suffer a disappointing sudden defeat and die. Many Zambians are actually Zombies. They cannot make informed decisions anymore. A silly song can influence their decisions for the next five years. They will be complaining while voting for the same people they despise, why? Because the song is “good”. Listen to the song “Iye Chipolopolo”, how pathetic.

  2. Can Chipolopolo win in Cameroon? YES. Will they win? Probability 20%. Cameroon is at home, has character, instinct, power, coach with strategy and tactical edge, Chipolopolo has no character might score but can’t maintain or protect lead, learner coach, non functional bench that only prays but can’t play… faith without works is dead… what is the role of Chintu? Choir master or player warmer? Aggrey Chiyange? Only Davies Phiri and Dan Kabwe make sense… I would love us to win but I dont see how… 20% chance iliko against 80%

  3. This will be our second practice match for the 2019 AFCON, after the 2-1 loss to Nigeria in Ndola. So in terms of these AFCON 2019 preparations, we are doing well.

  4. zambia can win or force a draw only if they dont play mbesuma for a full 90 minutes. mbesuma kills one number by not running and fighting for the ball. he wants other plays to do all the dirty work while he waits for some to pass the ball to him for a finisher. but thats old time football.

  5. MAMA

Let us just support our team and dont attach soccer to politics you people and leave PF alone what kind of hate is that which does not end?Are we still politicing?Football ia football very much different from politics of hate.
