Zambia have made a modest improvement on the latest FIFA Rankings released on Thursday, November 24.
Chipolopolo move three places up the rankings from 94 to 91 to end a two-month fall.
Zambia’s 1-1 away draw with Cameroon, who are at number 65, in a 2018 World Cup Group B qualifier on November 12 and their 1-0 away friendly win on November 8 over Uganda, who are number 73 in the World, helped halt their poor rankings.
Algeria are the highest ranked side in the 2018 Group A qualifiers at number 38 and are 5th in Africa.
Nigeria are 50th in the World and 8th in Africa, Cameroon are 13th on the continent while Zambia are 22nd on the CAF rankings.
Senegal is the highest ranked CAF member on the FIFA rankings at number 33 while Côte d’Ivoire (34), Tunisia (34) and Egypt (36) make part of the top five.
Argentina lead the overall rankings, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium complete the top five in that order.
That’s fifa ranking otherwize I can make my own ranking
Last time I read these rankings Zambia was in 60. These FAZ need nullified .
You dont even know how it works…
Fifa rankings are very simple win your qualifers or draw…if you are going to play a friendly cheer pick a team highly ranked than you and beat them. That’s how teams like England manage to be highly ranked yet they are not even good enough.
I conquer with jay jay and make a lot of international friendly’s especially whose their ranks are higher than us
I doubt whther the analysis is correct. A draw doesnt earn you any points so Zambia may have risen because other teams above them have fallen
If you hold a team like Senegal that is highly ranked than you in a World Cup Qualifier…do you not see that as a plus? Its a case of the stronger team has failed to beat you.
Away game can earn u points
we need some presidential rankings aswell
