UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka has reminded presidential press aide Amos Chanda to be mindful that he is a civil servant.

Mr Katuka said Mr Chanda should not think that his being at State House makes him a special civil servant.

He said Mr. Chanda should therefore not attack the Judiciary in the manner he did when he appeared on ZNBC TV’s Sunday Interview.

Mr. Katuka says such attacks only help confirm suspicions that the Executive has influence over the Judiciary contrary to constitutional provisions of separation of powers.

He stated that the UPND wants to see the Judiciary operate independently without any undue influence from the Executive.

  1. Amos is just doing what his job description allows him to. Do not shoot the messenger. Go the the “loot-koz”!!! You flogged Chellah and danced on his job-loss grave but where did that take you?? Focus! We are running out of time – mediocrity is about to complete its tour in our country. 50 years is critical.

  2. This Mosi Chanda Bell is also visionless like Lungu, he doesn’t understand what it means to be a civil servant.
He is very arrogant & useless. The worst presidential aide to occupy such an important job & needs to be taken back to the monkey forest.

    • Skeleton know nothings about being a presidential appointee. Amos Chanda is not justa civil servant, when Lungu leaves office Chanda goes with him. So Chanda knows which side his bread is buttered.

    • Onetime, you’re a pathological lies like PF bandits.
Can you give the masses the evidence to support your illogical illusions Onetime. At least , name the article & give the dates if at all the~Skeleton Key~206~ ever said your assumptions of your so called “everyone is the worst” including “George Chela”.
Give dates & article! Stop your grossed out propaganda, will you PF bandit! Perceptions of your illogical closure of illusions onetime.

    • shu shu shu is engulfed by a veil of ignorance, doesn’t know anything about law or rules. No wonder the economy is in shambles. Jungle laws have now taken over the civilized ones. Bandits in govt is a broth of corruption. Don’t be visionless like PF shu shu shu, Amos Chanda has no right to threaten the judges whatsoever, get it. Otherwise remain in primitivity.

  3. The standard of President’s Office cheapened to worst.

The Pres-Aid is a typical cadre spearhearding evil interest of PF and its Incompetent Lungu.

  4. Katuka you are just an insulting clown from the forever opposition. Go to hell with your Kaponya (HH)

Vote 2016 Mr Kudos Most Popular Revolutionary Radical Patriotic Blogger

  5. Katuka Amos chanda is a public servant not a civil servant there is a big difference, a public servant takes on oath of office while mere civil servant do not. Katuka stop polluting us with your ignorance.

    • @The Observer: What an Idi.ot and Nui.sance you have been!! You are nothing but another Useless Rat Eater spewing the usual sh.it.
Amos Chanda is a Civil Servant equivalent to an Ambassador, Permanent Secretary, etc. Where did you get the title of Public Servant which is rather descriptive than prescriptive. Don’t show us your inborn ign.orance – even the Diaspora cannot remove it from your Ugly head!!

    • Zambia has civil servants who are directly under the executive -the civil service. And public servants would then be staff of municipalities who’re not direct civil servants. Staff at state house are under the civil service.

  6. Instead of dealing with economic problems we are at each other’s throats because of one drunkard who is unable, though lawyer he is, to grasp that the judiciary is independent. Zambians please wake up from this creeping dictatorship. KK noticed Zambian lethargic brain and woke up one day and declared a one party dictatorship and Lungu’s attitude points that way. It took 27 years to wake up. Wake up now!!

    • The judiciary is independent only when it rules in favour of UPND.Your ka President insulted the concourt judges it was okay even with LAZ.
      Amos was right

    • @Mimbulu

You have assumed I am UPND, wrong. Just Zambian. Amos is a civil servant who is remunerated by tax money. Did you notice, when he opened his mouth that he spoke not as a professional presidential spokes person but as PF party cadre? Did you?

  7. steven katuka, you are worse than amos chanda, yo are a vuvuzela for a perpetual looser, your under five boss hakaluza heka. while chanda is busy building the image of his boss, you are seated spewing tribal comments thinking they will take you somewhere. grow up and go to a pr school. chanda is not a mere civil servant, he is an image protector and builder at state house and he is doing a better job than you… hence your hateful comments about him.

    • So what tribal comment has steven made, and to you whatever a none bemba says qualifies to be tribal then let the other people go it alone. Its no longer fashionable to label HH under five chibwi exhausted the good will, grow up your hatred for HH will kill you.Your kind cannot beat HH in a fair contest, but of course you are good at stealing including votes, look at your fear to go to court, winners are not scared of courts. The only image building is by performing not by use of state machinery against those without.Using police against opponents is not performing all African dictators have tried it but has a short life span. Its because of your kind Africa is in such a mess even with its abundant resources.

  8. indeed katuka is a moron, surely he fails to know Amos’ job description.Since upAndOWN came under the chief moron, it has never appreciated any leader. What it knows is that an opposition has shoot down everything the government of the day is doing, the leader, never appreciated Chiluba,Mwanawasa, RB, Sata and now ECL.What a shameless moronic opposition party It’s a pity junior Chipimo has become dormant since the death of his father, at least he reasons, Nawakwi tries!!

  9. Amos is a State Press Aide, who in big demcracies likw USA holds daily briefings at the White house, just read Daily Natiob of wrdnesfsy u will see Josh Earnest doing his daily brief. So Amos was in order to give the Nation the State House ‘temperature’ on the judiciary. After all White House in USA comments on certain court judgements, that does not mean that the Executive is interfering in the Judiciary, no. Currently u have heard Trump saying he will scrutinise some supreme court judges. By the way where was LAZ when UPND leadership insulted the concourt. Zambia for u

  10. All you commentators, you mean you cannot educate each other without INSULTS: What a Country, Especially young ones, this is not how we grew ourselves. Respect is paramount in every situation. Cho Chise is not good for our country. Let us respect ourselves be Ruling Party or Opposition(We are all human beings and no one is more human than the other). For opposition party respect the current ruling party. Read: Romans 13 v 1 – 5: If the current PF party is not from the authority of God, they will fail to rule and that is when you can stand up and talk. Not now, otherwise you will be taking authority by your own powers which is evil and worse off::::::

  11. We the people of zambia gave ourselves a constitution…..amos you are not our constitution….if your job is very hard please quit…….

  12. It’s surprising that Zambians still don’t know that everything Amos Chanda tells them comes from his bosses. Whenever Amos speaks or writes it’s his bosses speaking through him. Amos has a very difficult job if you didn’t know. Wake up and sit up !!

  13. Mr. Katuka please can you also expand on the verbal attacks your “boss” made towards the entire concourt bench when his own lawyers dribbled him via time keeping?

  14. FOR THE HUNDRETH TIME, AMOS IS A VERY SHARP VUVUZELA WHO KNOWS HIS JOB VERY WELL AND ARTICULATES HIS BOSS’ IMAGE AND POLICIES WELL. KATUKA IS A MERE COLLEGE DROP OUT WHO SPWES INSULTS AND GOES AROUND BASHING PEOPLES’ HEADS WITH PANGAS AND KNOBCARIES LIKE IN NAMWALA THINKING HES PLEASING HIS BOSS. THATS THE DIFERENCE.

  15. Being royal does not mean what Amos did, it is purely appeasement to keep jobs, boot-licking and ”ba boss banikonde.” Unfortunately, this is the current trend among civil servants in Zambia. Imagine, they paint a good picture even when things are not right, eg. no funding in all the ministries since May 2016 but claim the government is delivering, WHERE. It is private-donor funded country, only managing enough to pay civil servant salaries. YAAA…BA

  16. IM SURE GBM IS HURTING WITH HISCONTINUED STAY IN UNDER FIVE PARTY. WHEN HE LEAVES HIS PRESS CONFEFENCE WILL BE VERY INTERESTING TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO… JUST WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Okay I gave chance to fo0ls like kudos to comment, my turn now. Amos please get your job description. Frank scavenger Bwalya must talk about party matters, Amos Bootlicker Chanda must talk about government issues on behalf of the President. What is difficult? How can a civil servant say the party is not happy? Ni Skulu?

  18. Katuka will for ever rot in opposition. He was handsome some ten years ago but now he should be taken to the museum in Livingstone in the UPND display corner.

  19. Mentor you are right it’s not good to live on insults and I fail to understand why zambians young and old alike want to live a life of school boys and girls. In zambia when you in opposition you behave like kids told to debate and all they have to do is propose and oppose depending on the group they are in. You can’t go on always opposing anything and everything just because you belong to the opposition group. Come on Zambians we can do better.
