PARAMOUNT Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni Speaking People of Eastern
Province has said he is excited with the Patriotic Front (PF)
Government for enhancing the lives of the people through the
construction of roads and schools across the country.
Chief Mpezeni who is recovering from the injuries sustained in a road
traffic accident was speaking when Home Affairs Minister Stephen
Kampyongo and Eastern Province Minister Makebi Zulu paid a courtesy
call on him at his residence in Chipata on Sunday.
The traditional ruler said he was happy that Government was busy
constructing schools and roads for the benefits of the people.
He said the infrastructure developments which the Government was
undertaking would uplift the living standards of the people.
“I am really happy that Government is constructing schools and roads.
This is important because it will uplift the living standards of the
people,” he said.
The paramount chief advised the Government to continue with its agenda
on developmental projects.
On his health, the paramount chief who sustained a deep cut on his
head said he had some difficulties in walking.
He said he cannot walk long distance without using a stretcher.
“I was treated at Mwami (Adventist hospital) and discharged but I
still face some difficulties in walking,” he said.
And Mr Kampyongo said the news that he had been involved in the road
accident made him become worried including President Edgar Lungu.
The minister who wished the paramount chief a quick recovery said the
Government was in a hurry to develop the nation through various
developmental projects.
He also thanked the paramount chief for uniting the people during the
August 11th general elections.
Mr Kampyongo said it was good that the paramount chief embraced all
political players by uniting them.
He wished Chief Mpezeni a quick recovery after being involved in a
road accident.
On Saturday, the paramount chief sustained injuries after losing
control of the vehicle he was driving.
The vehicle careered off the road and went into a ditch near his
palace at a curve.
So he was driving drunk, Mpenzeni likes drinking
Cant we live without politics. Even chiefs just dream about politics.
He was not only drunk but he was destructed buy a prostitute who was trying to remove his gear from position. You know how mpezeni likes prostitutes!!!!
Maybe he more excited about the School girls than the actual buildings!!
Mpezeni should talk about development in his kingdom not on behalf of the country which he has no ability to verify.Chiefs should not allow themselves to be used for spreading lies.What unity did the chief promote he was just a vehicle for the PF tribal campaigns.

Seriously LT is this news? I also wonder if people like Mpezeni & others understand the role of Government. Building roads & schools is not a favor, but the government’s responsibility. Shoo 50+ years, we still get excited.

Mpezeni is a dull chief…i wouldnt be surprised if the accidrnt was caused due to drink driving.

Indeed Mpezeni who is a habitual drunkard had one too many the day he lost control of his freely acquired vehicle. The chap flipped got dented all over his feeble self and wrecked the tax payer sponsored Toyota Land Cruiser.
Now that this begging Chief needs a replacement he has to praise the Government for ‘construction’ of schools and roads when such projects have stalled due to lack of funds.
