Nkana and Zesco in last minute dash for 2nd place finish

Share

The 2016 FAZ Super Division campaign ends on Saturday with Zesco United and Nkana fighting for the runners up spot.

Zanaco won the title with some games to spare – forcing Nkana and Zesco to start fighting for the second position in order to earn a place in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Second placed Zesco who faces Lumwana Radiants away at Lumwana Grounds are favourites to grab second position.

Coach Tenant Chembo’s Zesco have 69 points, two above third placed Nkana, after 33 matches played.

Armed with a superior goal difference of 36, Zesco needs at least a draw to finish second in the league.

At Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola, Nkana visits Forest Rangers aiming for a win in case Zesco loses at Lumwana.

Elsewhere, champions Zanaco visit Nkwazi at Edwin Imboela Stadium seeking to win the league with 81 points.

The Bankers have 78 points from 33 matches played.
