    • I miss Scott in Government. He talked sense not this guy who came from South Africa only to come back and talk crap about importing power and setting up power plants. I have no idea why he is a president.

    • I think I must start linking myself up with these in power. Just how could the Lungu family have big positions in government. Son and father all have great positions. I must make friends with these goons

    • Just shows why people want to be part of govt. From being Deputy Speaker in May, and he is dead already. That’s why the crooks at ECZ and Kangaroo Court will do anything for Lungu to make sure they retain their positions. Is it tough out there if you are not feeding at the PF govt trough? You bet!

    • My condolences. I have one concern…why is it that children born with heart defects that could easily be corrected in SA never get the chance for specialized treatent while old men go at government costs for such services. Actually why not build capacity for specialized treatment for all Zambians here in Lusaka and the provinces?

    • House fly, i heard the daughter was also recently appointed High Court Judge. But both are qualified in these positions. The father probably just facilitated them getting good jobs which they are qualified for. I cant say whether or not they were competitively acquired

    • Honestly who really cares ?

Keep it private. I didn’t want to know and neither did the majority.

He was a bloody DEPUTY speaker for heavens sake.

      How is this news ?

Thoughts and condolences for the family. But I didn’t know him and I would rather have known he died.

      Can someone say amen ?

      Thanks

    • @ Mushota in agreeing with your line of thought I also see it as a case of inequality or class society considering the number of deaths that do not make news in Zambia. Apart from the circles that the death closely affect, and the more the reason to keep it private, it is forced on the rest in the nation as news with a synopsis on the departed. Anyway life goes on with the poor state of health services in Zambia where many more are wasting away without opportunity to visit a South African hospital with state help!

    • Don’t worry. It is the same death. The national treasury could not keep Satan alive despite his medical tourism from Israel, to RSA to UK. When it is time up it is time up.

  1. Kitwe Central hospital bought an electronic x-ray 18 months ago and our sincere concern is that why is the machine not installed? This is because the old one is failing to provide the expected service due to numerous challanges. Can the hpspital management or the moh explain why such an expensive and important machine is lying idle at the hospital while patients are queing for weeks to have an x-ray and in some cases opt to go to the private clinics hence spending the little money patients have for the service govt must provide. Kindly update us.

  2. Hi Zambians,

When we have death in our country please people of GOD let us just send a word of condolences unlike mixing this and that.Let us respect the dead in anyway. Its only in death where one can show maturity in behavour.

  3. Condolences to the Lungu family. Please don’t bother about unproductive commentators who see everything using political lenses. Every well meaning Zambian knows that this family has made and continues to make tremendous contribution to Zambia. My thoughts are with you the Lungus during this sad moment.

  4. UPND are gathered to cerebrate the death of Nkondo.

Go ahead with your cerebrations and we will will see who will vote for you.

People of Lundazi, please take note of this cerebtration and fight back with a vote against UPND.

Rest in peace statesman. The flag will surely go down for this one.

    MHSRP

  5. An extremely humble servant of the people. Soft spoken and down to earth. Go well Sir. We shall definitely meet there except that you had to go first.

  6. Some years ago in Barotseland, guns and teargas was used to disperse youths who peacefully demonstrated against Zambia’s continued colonisation of the West Land. Dozens of people died on that day, a hundred more are still missing and many fled into neighbouring countries for fear of being jailed. Mkhondo Lungu was the man who gave orders to the Police to shoot what they called “bandits”. The move was even supported by grave bound George Kunda. May the Souls of all those who died at the ruthless hands of Kunda and Mkhondo rest in eternal peace. To Mkhondo Lungu: the guns that killed our people in Barotseland may not have been pointed at you in revenge but surely death has come to you so quickly, just like it happend to George Kunda. Enjoy your rough journey to hell

    • Only one person died after setting a filing station alight. Where have you seen people missing in their own village?. Which dozens.
There is no report of missing persons except alarming statements such as dozens, hundreds, etc. Where is the list of missing people?

Be objective. Every person knows that that report was propaganda to get the MMD out of power. Only one person got shot and the reason was that this person was about to set a filling station alight.

  7. So the hospitals in SA don’t actually help them! Death doesn’t choose that’s the good part. By now politicians must have realized that SA is a wrong place for medical attention ?. MHSRIP

  8. If only my late Uncle Mukhondo hailed from Northern province as late Nsanda (the thief) would have died in South Africa or here in UK. Ala! coming from kwithu ku Lundazi can only be admitted at UTH and bye-bye Sibweni, MYSRP.

  9. Some Zambians still think poverty is the way to go. When others work so hard to get better they are tormented. The Lungu family is hard working. At least I worked with one of the daughters. She was exemplary. And why shouldn’t such a person live a better life? Please, do not glorify laziness and poverty. Work hard also to become like the Lungu family. May the soul of the departed Hon. Lungu rest in internal peace.

  10. condolences to his family. Zambain leaders have no brains. the money being wasted to fly people to RSA for treatment could have transformed our hospitals into world class hospitals. the stand and sing of Zambia proud and free should be changed because Zambians are not yet free.
