Mbesuma out for seven weeks

Sports Mbesuma out for seven weeks

Collins Mbesuma is expected to be back in action in February.

According to Kickoff.com, the Zambia striker has been out of action for the last fortnight for his South African club Highlands Park due to a knee problem.

Mbesuma later underwent surgery and has been given up to seven weeks to recover.

The striker has scored three goals from eleven league games for the struggling promoted side.

Meanwhile, Zambia has no competitive matches until June, 2017 when the Cameroon 2019 Africa Cup qualifiers commence while 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will resume in August.

However, the home-based team should begin their Kenya 2018 CAF African Nations Championship qualifiers in the last week of April when the preliminary round matches begin for the Nairobi tournament.
