Government had observed that despite the transformation in police operations resistance to change is still rife among some police officers.

Copperbelt minister Bowman Lusambo noted that some police officers resist change because they don’t know it’s benefits.

Mr. Lusambo said that this resistant to change by some police officers has caused unnecessary loose of employment and to some extent loss of lives.

He has since urged the police command to develop and implement change management programs in the service and thereby sensitize the officers on its benefits .

ZANIS reports that Mr . Lusambo said this today when he officiated at the Zambia Police Open Day held at Kamfinsa police in Kitwe.

The provincial minister added that the open day creates an interface between the police and the general public.

And Coppetbelt police commissioner Charity Katanga noted that the Zambia Police will continue to strive hard by providing the much needed security in the province.

Ms. Katanga said that the police will also continue to work hand in hand with the community by providing the open door policy.

  1. Minister the Chinese has gone ahead building where he was asked to to stop from building a cheap structure. Are you afraid of change also, cause you have not been there to check again. And it’s right in your town Ndola.

  2. Zambians resist people not ideas. Think of things which Sata changed which Zambians just kept quiet. Use people they love and respect they will do it.

  3. What change is Lusambo talking about? Is it shouting PF slogans and facilitating corrupt deals? The Police Officers should change from which culture to PF Culture? What is the PF Culture? Violence and Lawlessness? Lusambo should define the Change that he wants on the CP?

  4. @Bemba man. That is a good one. Zambians are afraid of the China man. In my new country that China man would have been penalised financially and the project would have been given to another one if he continue to defy city council authority. The structure would have been demolished
