Zambia will face Botswana in the 2017 Cosafa Cup quarterfinals.
The two sides last eight fate was decided at draws made in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
South Africa will host the 20th edition of the Cosafa Cup from June 25-July 9 in the North-West Province.
It is the first time the two sides will meet in the knockout stage since 2006 when Zambia beat Botswana 1-0 in the semifinals en route to defeating Angola 2-0 in the final.
Strangely the two sides have only met twice in the Cosafa Cup with the first coming in 2000 in a first round fixture Zambia won 3-0.
Meanwhile, Zambia will be hoping for better fortunes in this years edition after tumbling at the quarterfinals in the last two editions and relegated to the Plate semifinals.
And Zambia and Botswana also have a potential 2018 CHAN final round qualifier meeting this August should they overcome Swaziland and South Africa respectively in the first round in July.
