    • You’re 100 % spot on! Poverty causes parents to sell their children

My friend from Mpika was offered 10,000 US $ for her bastard child whom she could only feed nshima & delele..

    • That’s because he did not pay his tax on the transaction! Govt. knows people cost more than K5,000 and had that been so, the parent would have been let off as long as he also settled his taxes with government …

    • Bamukaika Ten wala eh!
Ba mweba noku mweba ati soingile mukabini!
Ba nyina ba kana aweyo mwaiche. ……………………..
      UKO!

    • Support is needed to lift vulnerable people out of poverty. Until that is achieved, more desperate parents will try to sell or a b a n d o n their children.

  1. Poverty causes parents to sell their children

  2. Why cant we sell HH to the same businessman at half that price ? I mean, who needs this bitter fellow ?

I have a PHd By the way

  3. Ba Luapula zoona! when you meet them in Lusaka like they are really smart ney! Help your fellow Congolese sha!

  4. Poverty or otherwise the cause is depravity. Even when Northern Rhodesia was well to do people used to humans kuli ba munyama. It’s to do with the individual not the situation.

  5. I am sickened by the insensitivity of my people on this matter. This innocent child was going to be sold to some business individual, for what purpose? Was the child going to be turned into a sex slave or ritually used? And please don’t use the oppressive word “bastard” to refer to any child … it’s so disrespectful in this day and age. This issue is very serious and who ever thinks they can joke about it by suggesting that HH or anybody else should have been sold, is nasty. No wander We sold our own into slavery and we are still letting others dominate us… shame on you. Have some compassion!!

    • These fools are making fun of such a serious situation and think that it is poverty driving such sick souls. This is serious stuff.

  6. Poverty has always been there. I remember people in chilubas regime from southern wete eating sand.

  7. This sums up what it means when a country is led by an insensitive and selfish gang interested only in enriching themselves at the expense of the struggling majority.

  8. @Bana Mushota: God deliver you. That Angel next to you see him, he is recording every thing in your mind. Zambians let us not use internet for fooling other people, God is watching every one, every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month and every year. When that day comes you will not escape it how powerful you may be(Day of Judgment) . See if your PHD will save you. We should all feel sad and sorry the man who could not afford to look after his daughter whose heart was taken by the devil to sell the child, Zambians let us all pray for each other if we really love God and our Country Zambia. Even those who are saying poverty, do something. Mathew 24. Pray that you repent before HE COMES.

  9. Welcome to Lungu’s leadership. Its dununa reverse. People are so desperate to have a meal that they are selling their little children. Keep bunching the air all you PF id10ts. You have not seen anything.

  10. This business man should be questioned also about his motives when he bought this child , and if his motives are suspicious he should then be charged. I hope the law does not only penalise the father who may have have been under a lot of pressure to make ends meet. It’s really sad that people have to resort to this when others are busy stealing government funds and enjoying foreign trips at your expense. Wise up Zambia !!!

    • The business man did the right thing. Had he not paid for that child, that f00l would have sold the child to someone else who would not have reported the matter, maybe a foreigner, who knows? Moreover, had the id10t even had the slightest idea that his plans had been thwarted, he would have bolted with the kid.

  11. Before I contribute my views , it’s like there are more questions than answers. Where is the mother of that child? Is he in marriage or not? Is it confirmed is the biological father? What next after selling the child? The culprit should be asked why he targeted that business man. Is it that, the business man has no children or what? Come Police dig deeper.

  12. People stop blaming the young father this days we have people being sold for as much as 20 thousand kwacha in the name of dowry its just terminologies used but mean the same thing wether you are sold as sex slave its the same except on the other one you will be made to work harder to recover the monies the other one you will be made as a child making machine so what the difference let him just enjoy his money

  13. So many days have passed and what were you doing with the kid business man? One cannot just wake up and take the child to person A and put a price on the child’s head. The business man must be well known for such acts but this time just spilled the beans to save his face. That is what I think.
